Recruiting comes down to winning games!!! Until they win games they should and a bowl game things won't change...

Well, we've lost Bethel, Valentine, Wyche, and Powell this month.

The state of recruiting is pretty ****ty right now. We could use a strong finish.

Bethal is a midget and was not going to play until his Jr.yr. btw -going to TT...what ever...
Valentine or his peeps got paid or his grades still suck and the coach is covering up, anyways, going on school #4 after leaving The $5million dollar man, Charlie STRONG and Mr. Defense, the MUSCHUMP.
Wyche got bit by the system...and this sucks!
Powell is the same type RB as Yearby and Yearby is much better. We need some size... Not another 165# RB.

It's a pretty solid class and we end up with JC, Njoku, and a couple surprises...

definitely NOT out of our hands. This staff has been coaching in the ACC for 10 years, they should know the ****ing policies regarding JUCOs. The time spent recruiting a guy who's enrollment depended on an appeal couldve been spent recruiting someone else, or better yet at a ****ing seminar for Defensive strategy. **** you Dorito. ****in' up my team.

Yep.

At the very least, you need to be a little more certain on the chances he qualifies.

At this point, we can't afford any more casualties at DT recruiting. That position is going to be Golden's death knell.

WE'VE got bigger ISSUES than some high school coach saying we suck as a program. HE'S 100% RIGHT. can't recruit. can't coach. get our *** beat by FSU. Duke makes an ACC coastal berth before us. OUR PROGRAM IS DEAD and you guys hide behind this genron crap. can we fix this? yeah. will we? looks like we WON'T EVER. lifetime of mediocrity.

Seriously? You distill the involvement, history and behaviors with this guy as "some high school coach saying we suck as a program"? Really? That's what you get from all this? Really?

Well, first, as for him bad mouthing the program, if I understand correctly, he claimed that he didn't know how certain false and negative comments about the u got onto his twitter posts...how bout that. Guess somebody for some reason hacked his twitter account? Or maybe he's not being accurate. ..... But, is all this just about a high school coach saying we suck? ? ? Some might think the situation a tad bit more complex and sinister.

Let's say just for argument purposes that someone, previously let go from an athletic program for ethics violations, ethics concerning profiting from relationships with the program's youthful athletes, winds up a coach of other youthful athletes.

Let's further say just for arguments sake that various social media accounts associated with this person strongly suggest that he's repeatedly steering local recruits away from a local program,and that his account's social media program is giving false and disparaging reasons why one recruit, a recruit this guy is purportedly "helping" has soured on a particular program the recruit once favored. The previously favored program needs to fill the position the recruit plays. But, according to this guy's social media posts, the institution is of the opinion that this guy is a hustler.

Let's say for arguments sake this guy personally accompanies the recruit to another school, and after the visit the recruit's contacts with the previously favored institution are restricted. (The previously favored institution is the same institution referenced in the false and disparaging social media.) (Let's say the recruit might benefit from a positive and attentive academic program offered at the previously favored program.)

Let's put aside concerns for the institution. What about the recruit? Who's interests are really being served? And why? The answer should be obvious.

In my opinion this is the real problem.

In this type of process, a recruit may be put on the auction block for the benefit of someone other than the recruit....the fact that this may happen with some frequency doesn't make it OK in my book.

If enough smoke causes official investigation, how does this effect the recruit? What about his eligibility? What about his education? His future? The process here should not be about the benefits or potential benefits to "handlers", I think (I hope) this is what concerns people.

We need the right man in charge with enough money made available for him and a top quality staff and free up the admission requirements to get in more top level kids. That requires the admin to commit to a top level program. Not sure if this admin will or not. So far it seems to be no. But get the money freed up for a top staff and make the right hire(s) and loosen up admissions and we're competing for a NC.

I don't believe AG is the right man. A decent HC but not a star. Our staff doesn't appear to be top notch except for Coley as a recruiter.

What a stupid post. "Can't recruit"? Let's see, we currently have a very good, to great, class DESPITE not being a major player for a championship in a decade AND having trash like Genron pull the kinds of stunts that he does, steering kids away from Miami. The reaction to Genron isn't because he says we suck, it's because he is actively trying to undermine the program to ensure we suck. Those are VERY different things.

We could have the #1 class 4 years in a row and not sign a single QB and you guys would point to the recruiting ranking.
