State Of Florida Power Rankings - Week 7

I agree we would beat UF if we playedthem but the measuring stick is LSU they smashed us and UF beast them........im pretty sure if we beat LSU and UF lost to them and they were ranked ahead of us people would be mad.......and I would be tight to. I have no problem with them ahead of us. Thought Mullen was a solid hire from jump and thought he fell in there lap cause Chip is trash. One thing with Mullen that will cost him is recruiting................I havent followed what there doing recruiting wise but from what I know hes trash at it and u cant be trash at any of the big 3 in recruiting or u will lose your job in 4 years.

They currently have a better class then us. He was trash at recruiting because he was at Miss St. Last year his transition class was almost as good as ours. Our average player raking was 90.99 theirs was 90.75. That was Richts 3rd year vs Mullens 1st year. Richts transition class was 88.63 and Mullen came into a program that was just as bad as Goldens UM squad. This squad missed a bowl game 2 out of the past 5 years.

I thought I'd moved past the LSU loss but this picked that scab open. Still appalled at how unprepared Miami looked in that game. If that's the best Richt can do in an opener despite an entire offseason to get ready, then the Canes should start preparing their butth0les now for a big Crimson reaming from Nick Saban in 2021.

Oh, settle down, they beat Auburn LAST YEAR, for the love of Pete, it's irrelevant this year. I'm not saying they're not good, but to overlook their competition is laughable honestly. For you to make a statement about them beating most teams is disingenuous at best considering we all saw ODU take down VT.
UCF has zero impressive wins on their schedule this year and will end the season with the same even if they go undefeated.

What impressive win does Miami have?

What are you talking about, I'm not saying anything about Miami, don't try to change the narrative to support your argument.

In your world UCF beating a four loss Auburn gives them a "******-schedule pass" for how long?

winning 16 straight with 2 different coaching staffs and Beating multiple P5 schools should count for something.

**** even Nebraska wouldnt touch them instead they sign Bethune Cookman up for their make up game this year

You mean the hype machine that blew us out? LMFAO take off the Orange and Green shades.
Lol bruh if you think what we placed on the field week 1 is what we got against fsu than that's your issue. So you think the gators are better than ucf? Or better than miami? Gators aren't that good that's just facts and reality. I'd give ucf the one spot miami the two spot and gators three.

They are 100% better then us. UCF vs UF would be a toss up in my opinion.

The rankings place Miami ahead of UCF. That is the narrative we are talking about here.

For what reason, I am not sure.

Strength of Schedule is an overrated metric that helps perpetuate the P5 bias. At one point, it was a useful, underrated metric that helped differentiate teams at the top. Now its an idea that just facilitates P5 teams being pushed to the top and into playoff spots and NYD Bowl Games.

Whats lost is beating teams you play and winning your conference. Actual on the field stuff. UCF has that and keeps doing that. Maybe they'll take an L to Memphis this week or Cincy or USF in November and it'll put an end to this discussion for 2018...but nonsense like SOS keeping a team like UCF from being ranked ahead of teams with losses ahead of them or teams with equal win strength is some nonsense at the moment.

One loss Miami team with no good wins is somehow rated ahead of an undefeated UCF team is weird and homer af, and I am someone that believes Miami - provided they get in the backfield - beats UCF...but no, they shouldn't be ranked ahead of them right now.

Bruh we was 2 Yards away from being down 34-7 to FSU.

To me, the jury is still out on Miami. Defense can't win every game. Look at Pitt last year.
