Stat: Team Sacks

It's been a long time at U of Miami where our O and D Lines were the strength of the team. But this year that appears to be the case. This team on paper has the potential to be a playoff team but we'll see how that plays out. I am cautiously optimistic.

No coincidence we’ve been mediocre or worse just about every season since that time.

I'd like to believe we have leads where teams are forced to pass more which will lead to more pressures and sacks.

Meaningless stat.

Pressures are more consistent and more important.

Maybe pressures are a better indicator of a good D (not sure where to find that stat) but of the top 20 teams in Sacks , 17 where also top 50 in total defense. The one outlier being Texas State which finished 10th in sacks but were 94 in total D.
