The problem with your post is you're missing some context. I can't speak for everyone but I was against 3 of those hires. Two of them I stand by, the third Orgeron, deserves an asterick which I'll get to below

I said it then and I'll say it now. Mario is overrated garbage. He's a good recruiter and a ****** coach. Has the top O line and a consensus first round QB and still managed to **** the bed in a conference where nobody plays D. I stand behind this one 100%. No thanks on Mario coming back to Miami.

Butch laid it on us good but that's not saying much. We had ALREADY lost to a team transitioning from an option offense, UNC with 2 weeks to prepare, and VT at home. Butch beating us is the equivalent of what USF did to Shannon. Kudos to him but I still think he's too old and not the right fit at this point. Stand by this one 100% but I would be interested in the thought of him being the athletic director.

Let's be 100% clear on Orgeron. When you type Orgeron's name, you should be typing both coordinators names in immediate succession. If you guarantee me a package deal of THOSE caliber coordinators I would have been 100% on board with Orgeron. At Miami, Orgeron wouldn't get the budget to hire those 2 coordinators so that one is irrelevant. I wouldn't want Orgeron with 2 average or below coordinators.

I never had an issue with Schiano. Most on this board did, I was never one of them. I would have taken him over Manny in a second. He's far from my first choice but he's a tough SOB who's personality is easy to see permeate and become pervasive among most groups of 18-20 year olds.

oh i repsect saban. i think hes an amazing coach. he does things other coaches would never do. that being said, he has unlimitied resources. he can pay whatever for a kid.

Sabans career path has constantly went up. He’s won championships at two schools and earned his status. Butch career has consistently went downhill. The fact that you guys think they’re even comparable is hilarious. Butch is currently being owned by Lane while Lane got his current job by working for Saban.

Don't burn yourselves out with this Butch slurpers vs Butch haters crap. I like Butch. I wish he would have stayed and never left for Cleveland. However, our program is on life support right now and we don't have the luxury of debating the pros and cons of BD. We need to get this bumbling idiot Blake James fired and move toward hiring a semi-competent coach.

Dorsey was throwing seizured ducks in that brutal game in his FIRST start in a big hostile stadium. He **** near brought us back to win it after a putrid first half that had NADA to do with Butch.

After knocking off F$U, we are the clear choice to punish OU in the championship game and we (and Butch) get screwed.

He had a **** of a season that year, resulting in the abuse of UFag in the Sugar Bowl. Stop trying to support your bull**** narrative.

yeah I’m sure the view on tv wasn’t as informative as in the stadium (never the case) but the point is Butch didn’t win a championship in 2000 and he didn’t win in 2001. We lost to a lesser talented Washington and let La Tech score 34 which dropped us in the BCS.
Saban doesn’t have to argue about “would be” championships because he has 6. No comparison

never said there isn’t a reason that Kiffin is at FAU. He’s just doing a better job there even though FAU was worse than FIU the year before they were hired. Kiffin owns Butch and is way younger. For reference I don’t want Kiffin either but I’d rather have him in 2019 than Manny or Butch
