Yeah JD has been using that language since he arrived on campus. I was weary of it prior to seeing him last year…. But he’s an absolute weapon out there in center field. Gap to gap he is an eraser out there

Can anyone else confirm that Ogden is playing 2nd? What a disastrous move that would be

it wouldn't surprise me, but one of my predictions for the season is that Gabriel Milano will be the starting 2B by the end of the year. Odgen will be at SS by then.

Well based on Saturday's game he was moved to second and Vance stayed at short. Why would Jake be playing at second?

I normally keep my opinions to myself but this move is concerning!

It makes no sense unless Ogden has requested to play 2nd because that’s where he will be playing in big leagues. If it’s a staff decision I am not thrilled about it…. But I am also not at practice daily

Definitely not requested, but they've been flip-flopping back and forth in between the scrimmages. I don't see the vision in it either.

A top-10 ranked SS in the country (per D1baseball and anyone with eyes) should be playing shortstop 🤷‍♂️

This is the best board on this site because we value discussion like this. There are trolls every single year that come on here and tell us everything is sunshine and rainbows only to go completely MIA when the concerns become valid.

I do not agree with the move either but if indeed it is true I hope Sheehan is a stud at SS and I hope Ogden is comfortable at 2b

Ogden fielded .800 in the summer before he came to Miami in the Coastal Plains League. 15 errors in 30 games playing SS, 2B, and 3B.

Guys improve.

I talked to the coach Ogden played for with the Florence Flamingos and was saying there's no chance he was even an average SS for us and i echoed that. We were very wrong. Won't make that mistake again until I see something concerning with my own eyes. Sebastian and Erick were right about his ability at short.

Given how good Jake was last year at SS I have to imagine that Sheehan has simply been lights out to make this move. A true defensive weapon on the same level as a Torres in CF to make this bold of a move

Time will tell
