I stand by what I said before the season started that Jarren wasn't really given a chance because of the fact that Weldon and Perry could transfer if he took the starting job. It had nothing to do with Jarren's ability to lead this team. But I'll be damned if Richt stays stubborn and refuses to play him due to B.S. like worrying about others transferring or his own son's inability to recruit a QB.
Play Jarren. What's the worst thing that can happen? He balls out and then a couple problems transfer? I'll take that over entering next year with a guy who has never started.
Once he gave Perry the reigns he never should have taken them back.
It's all mental weakness with Corch Rich.

I don’t think we see Malik again....it's the only sane thing to do at this point. ***** the redshirt! If he's any good, it's irrelevant!! Dorsey didn't start most of his frosh year.
Look at the facts as they sit in front of us tonight:
- Malik is the worst starting QB in Cane history to start more than 10 games
- N'Kosi keeps ******** up off the field and was an avalanche of garbage in his last outing.
- Cade couldn't even handle the snap when he got a chance last time he was in a game. I know people can make mistakes, but sorry - you had a chance and you tripped over your own feet, not to mention getting in trouble off the field.
- Jarren is the only QB who has the potential to actually lead this team long term.
- Do we really want to enter the Gator game at the start of next season with a relatively guaranteed loss to our long time rival? Because if you don't let Jarren lead the team now, he will not be ready for the Gator D.
I'm sure this is far too logical for Mark to grasp, but if he employed any logic and chess playing at all, I don't see how you don't start Jarren the rest of the way or at least significantly. Malik should never see another relevant snap as our Qb again.
What does all of this probably mean? Malik is a slam dunk to start for us next week.

Agree 100% about throwing JW to the wolves. This would exacerbate the QB issue to the nth degree. You guys that keep betting on Jarren to be this Superstar that covers up everything wrong with this offense are just as delusional as the people who believed Rosier would be better this year.
This Offense is terrible, even the best QB would have their skill set limited playing in it. Throwing Jarren out there now would set him up for failure, he hasn't had a single first team rep since he's been on campus & no amount of reps in practice now would make him any more ready than he was when the season started.
The way you get a young QB ready is to put him position to be able to handle the offense, by giving him the majority of the 1st team reps in Spring & in Fall camp, then you tailor your offense around his skill set & not ask him to do things he doesn't excel at. You make the transition easier for him until he's fully comfortable with it.
You guys want Jarren to be thrown out there having been 4th string all year running with walk-ons & yall think he's going to magically transform this team into a good team? You think starting Jarren we'll go on a run & go undefeated rest of the season & make it to the ACCCG and play a good game with Clemson?
Stop with the desperation & face the facts, stop blaming players & coming up with delusional scenarios to rationalize the failure. Hold the coaches accountable and come to the realization a True Freshman QB with less than 10 snaps in a real game isn't going to be a fix all that covers up the Coaches ineptitude. Playing Jarren this late in the season solves nothing.
