Starting Jarren is not the brave thing to do

...it's the only sane thing to do at this point. ***** the redshirt! If he's any good, it's irrelevant!! Dorsey didn't start most of his frosh year.

Look at the facts as they sit in front of us tonight:
- Malik is the worst starting QB in Cane history to start more than 10 games
- N'Kosi keeps ******** up off the field and was an avalanche of garbage in his last outing.
- Cade couldn't even handle the snap when he got a chance last time he was in a game. I know people can make mistakes, but sorry - you had a chance and you tripped over your own feet, not to mention getting in trouble off the field.
- Jarren is the only QB who has the potential to actually lead this team long term.
- Do we really want to enter the Gator game at the start of next season with a relatively guaranteed loss to our long time rival? Because if you don't let Jarren lead the team now, he will not be ready for the Gator D.

I'm sure this is far too logical for Mark to grasp, but if he employed any logic and chess playing at all, I don't see how you don't start Jarren the rest of the way or at least significantly. Malik should never see another relevant snap as our Qb again.

What does all of this probably mean? Malik is a slam dunk to start for us next week.

There should be no redshirting in our QB room right now.

All stops should be pulled. We are in a death spiral offensively right now.
One (is there anything higher than gazillion??) gazillion percent!!! If Mark started Jarren and let him sling it around, he (Mark) could stave off the bleeding with the team and the fans. He can not afford to leave any bullets unfired at this juncture.

He's gonna save Jarren for next year and use the "first year starter" as a crutch for all the hideous losses we are gonna take next year. Similar to what Gorlden did.

I stand by what I said before the season started that Jarren wasn't really given a chance because of the fact that Weldon and Perry could transfer if he took the starting job. It had nothing to do with Jarren's ability to lead this team. But I'll be damned if Richt stays stubborn and refuses to play him due to B.S. like worrying about others transferring or his own son's inability to recruit a QB.

Play Jarren. What's the worst thing that can happen? He balls out and then a couple problems transfer? I'll take that over entering next year with a guy who has never started.

Because we won't fall for that again, right? SMDH... You're correct, of course.

How is balling out the worst you could think of? Fck, do you even watch the games? I can think of 19 things that would be worse.

No, he played him for 5 minutes then pulled this nonsense with Rosier.

If you listen closely you can hear Richt penning his statement that Rosier will start next week.

He should have played Perry at BC...we probably would have lost anyway and you'd say he did it to have an excuse, but fck it. It's time to start finding out what these kids have.

Once he gave Perry the reigns he never should have taken them back.

It's all mental weakness with Corch Rich.

If Jarren gets a few starts and stinks up the joint are we going to write him off too?

Depends on how he plays. Does he make some mistakes, but he mostly shows poise and a live arm? Mostly good decisions? At some point, we have to find someone to take snaps who isn't a basket case.

Dude, sure Jarren should play and lose the shirt, but think about what you’re asking??? This is Mark Richt we’re talking about. Logic or any long term insight is out the window with this guy

There's enough to blame the guy for without making sht up. The only thing he's not doing wrong is trying to hide behind a FR, and it's silly to assume that's what he'll do in the future.

I never said he will. I am just stating that had he used the freshman excuse with Perry this year the fans wouldn't buy it again next year.
