Star ***** or not. This is very interesting what do you guys think.

Is it just me but aren't QBs the position where unheralded players seem to develop and excel, Kurt Warner, etc.?
It’s cause it’s the hardest position to evaluate and effects a whole entire head coaches tenure. Same like the nfl. It’s why u will see more major schools just use the portal for a proven qb with successful college film. Cause if they do not get it right through HS (or they inherit a previous HC’s qb like TVD) they won’t make that same mistake twice cause it can get you fired.

HAHAHAHA at the bolded part. Totally agree with that, btw.

I don't really buy into the bump/drop in rating based on who they commit to, but I think the rest of what you said is pretty fair. The part about Andrew Ivins et al cutting and pasting scouting reports is true. I think a lot of that is true in today's internet/podcast era where any slapdik with two thumbs and an internet connection can "create content" while calling themself an expert. Knock Andrew Ivins all you want, but Brad Tejeda makes him look like a genius. I don't think Brad's ever had an original thought, ever. When he makes guest appearances on certain podcasts, I turn it off. He's that bad. Cliché heaven. It's a shame too because some guys like Brian Smith do a terrific job of getting off their azzes, going to camps, going to games and practices, talking to these kids and their coaches and formulating their own INFORMED reports. Want to know how you got a real one oing the reporting? Listen for him to say things like "I don't know; I haven't seen him in person."

Ok, now stop procrastinating and get back to studying for that overpriced advanced degree that you're working on!
Andrew Ivins was on caneville 2 or 3 years ago and confirmed that they do indeed drop players if they commit to a school without a great reputation for developing whatever position that player is.

The Andrew Ivins that we all agree doesn’t do scouting reports worth a zhit? So he mails in the scouting reports but we should take that one comment about school’s reputation as gospel? I’m not going to say that it’s never happened in the history of the college football recruiting star system, but it’s not true.

Yea, we should probably take 247’s Director of Scouting at his word when he explains to us how 247 goes about their scouting.

But also, can you show us on the doll where Andrew ivins hurt you?

You're an idiot.

Before I show you on my huge dong where he marveled at the massive veins I own, how about you post a link to this supposed quote from this fraud you you think is Saint Andrew Ivins of the Director of all things Scouting? If you don't know how to copy and paste, ask that cuck to show you how - his scouting reports are nothing more than that.

Not surprised...The recruiting business is big business now which means they now have put more resources into it and once you combine that with being in the self promotion era with youtube, hudl, Twitter, 7 on 7 tournaments etc. It makes it even more easier for them. There getting better and better at identifying talent these days had you made this list in 2004 I think you'd see a big difference

Whoa slow down there buddy.

You can’t just throw out boasts of massive dong veins and expect people to just accept it as fact. That’s not how this works. Either prove your massive dong vein claim, or be known from here on out as a serial liar.

FWIW, this is what I meant. Y'all can gloat on stars all you want, as long as this bs bias exists, it'll always be flawed.

This isn’t a case of them being bias its just they thought that kid is better than bain..Probably gonna be wrong but it’s just them missing on a eval not them being biased imo

Let it be memorialized with this here post that Mr. @1mg of Epi would like to see my dong.

Now that we've recorded in triplicate your desire to see my veiny member, let me remind you sir that you were the one who came at me making allegations first. I asked you for proof of your allegation first. I'm not pulling my pants down until you pull yours down.

Have a nice day buddy.

Go Canes

PS. I've exhausted my energy arguing this mundane point. You like Andrew Ivins based on his title. I don't care about his title; I don't care for him based on his lack of actual scouting. C'est la vie. If you want to come back with some half-witted insult, go for it. I've been married a long time and there's not much I haven't already heard.

Seems to me the determination of each level of stars is an inexact science. However, best to get 3 stars or higher and provide strong player development. Pretty much the same as it's always been?

Both kids same size, one has perfect measurements, the other is undersized?

Oh God, not this **** again.

Someone pull up that analytics/statistics that tie average star #'s across a roster to national championships. There is not just a correlation, but a confirmation of fact.

List out the last 15, 20, or 25 national title winners. Then go ahead and list out their average recruiting ranking the 2-3 seasons leading up to that championship year. If you got some downtime and want to extrapolate this over the "top 5 or top 3 in the final rankings" over the same 15, 20 or 25 year sample size, the data would still hold up.

Enough of this nonsense. Stars matter. If for no other reason they raise your hit %. There will always be anomalies but when you extrapolate over large sample sizes....stars win over the long term.
