Staph is terrible, but

Do we actually think we have a QB worth a **** on this roster? Do we have even + level talent at Wr? Obviously the OL is crap.
So even though I completely agree with the hammer being dropped on this whole staph, do we think we have top level talent on O?

I’m not trying to flame at all. But there were too many times in that game I was just like WTF to the qbs decision or the lack of anything in particular from the OL. And our WR just never seem to get separation.

Will scheme fix all of it?

i guess u were in a coma for the last 15 years where every QB was blamed at the first sign of corchness.

Manny Diaz was fired from Texas bc he was a bad football coach. He was then offered the job at Temple, and was their 4th choice. That is the level of coach he is, and thats the result on the field we get.

This isnt rocket science, folks.

Yes. We have the talent to:

-beat a mediocre UNC team
-beat a garbage VT team
-Beat CMU by more than 5 points and struggle to win
-beat a GT team that was 1-5 and have a coach converting an offensive system from medieval times to now.
 
Diaz was here for four years. If we needed a Qb, why didnt he get one in the portal?

Oh thats right he did, and Manny is so clueless that that kid cannot play AT ALL.

I’m not going to say no yet due to the horrific coaching unless it’s clear cut they can’t play..(Ivey, Patchan, Baxa, etc..) imho lots of these guys could still be salvaged with the right coaching
 
Sooo if we should’ve beaten those teams..and then we look back at the games..and see the mistakes what we added up too

The worst player of the game was not a QB, OL, or even kicker. It was DJ Ivey. Just letting the receiver run free on the fake punt despite being in punt safe, and slowing down to look for the ball on the long td pass, letting the receiver get an extra 2 ateps on him. Much of the season he's looked like he doesn't know how to play the position.
 
I’m not defending anyone by any means. But at the same time have we had a good qb in the last 15 years? I don’t know if we’ve seen good quarterbacking in a long time.

Obviously our ability to find players that fit the system being put in place is a major problem. Developing players has long been a deficiency over too many staffs. We are definitely running amateur hour on way too much of our staff and surprisingly enough that started under Richt. But we need a major overhaul on our staff and IMO they need to come from outside sofla. We need to hire AG to be the ST coordinator lol. Guy could find kickers and punters like a G. He did have good specials. I’m still all in on bringing back Jedd Fisch if we wanted to bring back another guy for a second run.

I love the guys that can’t have a conversation without try to make a dig. It honestly make it hard to take your opinion serious if you can’t have conversation. Lighten up guys.

Which qb in the last went on to do anything under any staff?
 
The only way we get better is if we recruit good players and develop them. Manny is a horrible recruiter as are most of the guys on the staff. And they’re all average or below average coaches. Time to cut bait before we really get into rebuild mode.

huh? which staff? every single coach we hired since 2001 has never been an FBS coach again. let that sink in.

we had multiple QBs play pro ball after college. these kid were desired by every school on earth, and then come here abd are coached by morons who destroy their futures.

but lets blame the players, the easy targets who just want to play ball and are vilified by morons who are desperate to protect corch after corch. makes me sick.

would be nice to see Tate. I guess they're afraid he does great and the corching staph looks worse than it already does by not utilizing him

Speaking of qb ineptitude do yourealize Vincent testaverde is in the league? And we had him what 4th 5th on our depth chart? How does that happen? Lol

Dude no one is protecting the coaches here. I prefaced both my reply and OP with just that. Your just so busy running your mouth like a goon your reading comprehension is gone! Psst when you just resort to name calling it says more about you than the person your talking to.

Who went on to play pro ball? Snickers? Did he ever even start a game? And he was not highly rated out of HS. Anyone else? I’m all for hammering the staff. But we haven’t hit on a qb in forever. I definitely think this scheme sucks, however I’m not seeing anything from the guys we do have that says “in X system they’d be a star!” Decision making is meh, ability to read a D is virtually nonexistent, N’kosi is an injury waiting to happen when he runs as seen today. I honestly would like to see Martell. At least in the read game they’d have to actually respect his running ability.
