Stanford @ Miami -29.5

So we aren’t invincible ATP? It’s not a foreign incomprehensible concept to say that we won’t cover a 30 point spread when we haven’t scored 30 all year vs a p4 opponent? What am I missing?
Vegas is smart. There is a reason it’s 30. They are right way more than they are wrong. The idea that it’s “free money” to say Stanford covers is ridiculous. But again, I welcome everyone to post their bet slips. No one ever does.

Haha, this will be the game where Mirabel and Mario “allow” us to run outside, so we’ll cover.

But that will be the exception and not the rule. After this game, back to A gap, max.

Sagarin has us as -30 and -33 on his strongest predictors. But CIS is gonna bank.

No such thing as free money, but touche. I’ll bow out, ya’ll got it.

Line opened at -27 and is now at -30 across most books. Forget covering. If we don’t beat them by at least 3+ scores then we’re not a playoff team.

Have we scored 30 points against a ranked team that is light years better than Stanford?
Yes. Do you think Beck coming off of a 4 int game will instill a ton of trust in the passing game? Has the trend been to be aggressive when we establish a lead? Make no mistake, I think we're capable of putting 60 on Stanford and I would love to see it but some of the play calling and decision making in games have been horrible and predictable.

IMO, Vegas has been crazy with these past 2 weeks' lines. Louisville should have been a 10 point underdog and now Stanford is a 4 touchdown underdog? That's practically FCS territory.
Considering they just beat FSU makes this really crazy. I know FSU is a hot mess, but 30 points seems like a lot for a team that sits on its butt once it gets a 9 point lead.

What FBS team in America would lose to us by 30. Let alone a p4 team. Cmon man. They got coached and scholarship players. We won’t beat anyone by 30. They beat fspoo. We didn’t blow fspoo out

We literally have a 30+ point win against an FBS team this year.

Big fan.

Okay, I'm just curious. To anyone saying we beat the spread, what have you seen this year to convince you that we will? I'm not saying we don't have the team for it, but I haven't seen anything indicating our coaches calling the plays will do anything to facilitate it. What makes you think we beat them by more than 30?
I'm not saying Miami beats the spread (anything is possible), but anyone serious would realize the spread is greater than Miami's sum total of expected performance in this game alone (by some modeling).

Koo koo for cocoa puffs.
