I was in Miami watching Cal start games at like ******* 11pm est though lol. Pac12 after dark was def somethin lol. That ain’t happening with our game

I responded to ONE of your posts, where you told us how hard it would be to schedule an early "pre-dinner" game, because of the students (they are not even enrolled in classes on that date), because of the boosters (they are wealthy white-collar folks working in the tech industry and are unlikely to be working on Friday of a holiday weekend), and because of the refs' commute. Oh, and "pre-dinner" time, which is PST out there.

You also told us how a week 1 US Open match would be telecast over a live college football game.

“…on ESPN” is what I wrote. USC played on FOX.

That USC game didn’t start at 5 pm anyways. It started at 6pm. I guess i missed when USC joined the ACC too; as i explicitly wrote ACC in the sentence where you underlined the last few words. I also wrote 2 west coast acc games which are in reference to Stanford in 2024 and Cal Berkeley in 2025.

You should be in an insane asylum for the elderly by now.

My very first comment in this thread states that the earliest time (i believe) the game will be played is 830 EST; which is 530 pacific. Once i saw the previous times, I PUSHED THE PREDICTION TO A LATER time—900 EST.

You told Cali that you’re not splitting hairs over 5pm and 6pm; you’re right. You’re shaving your head bald over this issue. Notably, many people in this thread had similar timeframes and yet you act like I said the game will start at midnight when i said 830, then 900, at the earliest and 930 at the latest.

You got issues, serious issues dude.

As for what you can "find" and "remember" about west coast teams, don't bother. I have a close friend (former boss) who is a USC alum who lives in LA. I definitely know of a few times he's done the "breakfast tailgate" (more of a Saturday thing). But, hey, if you also need to "remember" a west coast team starting early on a Friday, how about LAST YEAR with USC.

I agree 10 pm on a Friday is insane. I had to recheck when the cal kickoff was and it was 10:30 which is also crazy.

I’m about to give you some terrible news brother. I just searched the 2024 ACC schedule & on August 30th, FRIDAY, 2024, TCU visited Stanford; and the pickleball game must’ve started at 8pm because that game started at 10:30 on ESPN lol.

TCU obviously isn’t in our time zone so maybe they felt it was appropriate to keep it that late.

More research by cookies & crew found that last year when GT visited Colorado, ESPN started that Friday Night Game at 8PM EST, which is 6PM mountain timezone.

So i need to revise my estimation from 830 to 9 PM at the earliest. I don’t think they’ll start later than 9:30 tho.

Yeah, I'm not splitting hairs over 5 pm PST vs. 6 pm PST. I was simply building off the normal "prime time" start of 8 pm east coast.

I also just posted that LAST YEAR's game of NW at USC began at 6 pm PST. This cookies guy didn't make much of an effort to find examples, he just gave a bunch of baseless generalizations.

I'm quite certain that I cited NUMEROUS head coaches with head coaching experience who should have been a part of Miami's job search, and when nitwits such as yourself tried to slander any of those experienced candidates (so that you could conveniently defend your preferred candidate), I'm sure I presented balanced information on the slandered candidates.

Not that long ago, actually. A lot of schools setup their classes by having a course that meets M/W/F and ones that meet Te/Th with the former being shorter in time than the latter. It also isn’t unusual for Friday only classes to be held 1:30 to 4:30.

It’s really not about whether or not tens of thousands of Stanford fans can readjust their schedules around this game; it’s about historically what has happened and why it has happened. Much easier to not readjust so many people’s routines.

All undergraduate classes and i only searched 4 subjects lmao.

I know full well what MWF classes are, compared to TuTh classes. I went to UM for my undergrad, MBA, and law degrees. Miami didn't schedule any classes past 1 pm on Friday. Now, having said that, I'm friends with a poster on this board who is a faculty member at UM, who teaches a SATURDAY class in the fall semester. So I do know that there are exceptions, which predominantly only impact a small number of students, and mostly GRADUATE students, not the undergrads who make up the lion's share of students who attend football games. At ANY university.
