Do you believe the University Legal Department would respond in such a way?

There is a thread in this forum in which a poster has claimed to have a letter written by his attorney and sent to UM. He claims in an official response from them they said:

"* Thank you for being alumni and spending over $600K over 20 years but frankly we have people who give that amount yearly, so your dollars don’t matter. "

I'd just like to know if you believe this actually happened.

Thanks

I will believe it when I see it.... not before....so post it

IF they did sent it nothing will be said, or they may even issue an apology to you.

IF they did NOT do it after you post what you claim to be their response....expect to be sued

here's the post.

tldr: his attorney sent "top officials" a letter with a bunch of things that the school already has on record. op allegedly spent over $600k over 20 years on the university (doesn't address if tuition for presumably 2 degrees in 6 years of attendance). why he sent this letter is unaddressed. allegedly the school sent him a letter back saying that he isn't that big of a donor. op hasn't posted since.

sounds like a crock of **** to me.

That's his summation of their official response. He said he would post the actual letter when he returned from traveling.

I agree.

"A few weeks back we sent certified letters to top officials with transcripts and a transaction history of the money, including tuition, I have personally paid the program since I attended there in 1998 to 2004" OK why?.

We also have NO context. We don't know what he was asking the University for that required he give that kind of info^^

Who knows?? For all we know he may have been asking for Miami to rename a building after him or put up a 40 foot statue of him at the University's entrance.

And who is he going to pay back? That money is gone

During the depths of the Golden years someone on here posted Blake’s email address. I emailed him about my disappointment with the direction of the program and told him I was canceling my HC membership until I felt the administration of the athletic department made the changes that were obvious to everyone.

I didn’t mention a dollar amount, and I’m sure he could easily check to see at which level I was a member. He actually responded within a day. And although he gave me the expected boilerplate answers (the process, evaluate at the end of the season, blah, blah...), he never tried to make me feel less important than other supporters who give larger sums of money.

The day after he fired Golden, I emailed him with a picture of my payment to renew my HC membership, and he emailed back to thank me.

I say all this with the caveat that I am NOT a fan of Blake. I think he is mediocre at best, but I’m just pointing out that my experience communicating with the athletic department is much different than what the poster of the “lawyer letter” thread has described.

The main difference is you are telling the truth.

Not to me. I think it’s not a bad name for a camp.
Matter of fact, it is A PARADISE CAMP, because all the divas go there to, well be in Paradise..... but then on signing day they go and do their regular verbiage “ Umm ahh umm, duh.. my momma told me to stay close to home so umm ahh umm ..”while picking up a hat or ripping his shirt off”.... I’m taking my talent to”roll tide”! alabaga university, 🙄
