Staff Turnover

Been thinking about the concept of staff stability.
I have come to the conclusion that it’s one of the most overrated concepts thrown around by coaches.
Just pure BS.
Sure if we have an amazing staff that is full of amazing coaches it might be a concept worth discussing but what’s so great about staff continuity when coaches are not doing a good job.
That concept is just thrown around by coaches that are more loyal to the friends they have on the staff than to winning.
I want a competent HC that will do a no BS evaluation of each of his coaches every offseason...and if a coaches position group is not performing or he is not recruiting he replaces him.
I would also add that you want a staff that people come after and full of guys that are coveted. That means they are doing a good job.
What you want is supposed to be SOP, but not here..

Hopefully he'd rather be the DC at Miami than the HC at LA Tech.

The HC at LA Tech doesn't make anywhere near $2.5M.

What you need to worry about is whether or not he'd rather be the DC at Miami or the HC at, say, North Carolina. Because that's a difference of about $1.5M+, and that's a lot of money to tell your wife that you don't want.

Anyone who suggests hiring the DC from a failed regime to take over as HC should be shot on sight. Seriously we went through this before.
