Staff Member With The Most To Prove in 2017

I think the staff member with the most to prove is D$. How many years ago did he start CIS? What has he done for us since then?

Didn't Searles come from VT?

I don't recall any VT OL being world beaters. Now their Defense and Bud Foster is a different story.

Straight tf up. Majority of these *** quats created every excuse in the world for a coach that didnt deserve it; even went as far as vilifying those who criticized him.

Now that they were exposed for being wrong they all of a sudden have become experts on coach critique and have given Richt a short leash.

The **** is comical.

Every coach is allowed a little leeway. If richt wants to have his under qualified son gain coaching experience under him, who are we to complain? The problem cones when this courtesy is extended to too many other coaching spots.

Ya'll realize that Thomas Brown is our OC right?

Insane I know.

Thomas Brown is just as much of our OC as Michael Jordan was a baseball player.

I see what you did there. LOL However, Michael Jordan actually did play baseball ON GAME DAY. That is, ON GAME DAY, MJ actually played in the Outfield, caught fly balls, took at-bats and actually hit home runs. Thomas Brown, on the other hand, has done nothing offensive coordinatorISH ON GAME DAY.

The offensive coordinator who's name need not be repeated.

He wet the bed last year during that 4 game stretch that cost us any chance at the Coastal, in a year where we should have won the Coastal.

I have zero issues with Richt the head coach, but Richt the OC is firmly in my crosshairs this season. Don't want to hear BS about the QB situation. We had a veteran QB and he wet the bed during that 4 game stretch so it's time to make due with what you have this year. The schedule is also a cakewalk.

Zero excuses. The offense as a whole must be more cohesive and move the ball better, especially against inferior opponents. I want to see a **** of an improvement with regards to situational playcalling in big games as well.

THERE. ARE. NO. SACRED. COWS. If Richt the OC struggles again this year then all eyes will be on Richt the head coach to swallow his pride and do what's best for the program and hire a dedicated OC.

Our D is ready to compete at a high level RIGHT NOW. It's up to the OC to squeeze enough efficiency out of his unit to not be a liability to Manny's side of the ball. The talent is there and the schedule couldn't be any more favorable.

Yep, tho many eyes were on Coach Richt to make that move this offseason.

I remain hopeful the guy is just getting used to being on the horse again in a day of much faster horses. The scarier thought is that he is too far behind and stuck in his ways to catch up.

Searles from 2004 -2016 has only had 2 players drafted and they were both from LSU. & he has had 4 other players in the NFL as UDFA

Andrew Whitworth - 2006 2nd rd.

Georgia 2007-10

UM 2016
Shane Dermot UDFA 2016

Searels didn't exactly inherit the 1993 Dallas Cowboys OL.

He waited too long to insert Gall at center and move McDermott to tackle.

But once those things happened the results were good.

I guess that makes things okay.....never mind the incompetence in waiting. SMH.

Triggered troll lmao

Searles is an elite ol coach.

Thanks for re-posting. Someone posted Searles' pathetic results a while back.

Searels should have been fired after the 2016 season. Injuries produced our best OL Unit.....Not his Coaching Acumen. Kaaya should sue Searels. LOL

My bad McDermot didn't play for Searles, but Danny Isidora did and was drafted by the Vikings in the 5th rd.

How much of a role did Searels play in recruiting the guys he coached? If you judge based off the late 1980's the greatest RB coach in the history of football was the Oklahoma State RB coach. Was it the immortal Pat Jones?

Looking at guys getting drafted at a position as a way to evaluate the coach of that position sounds great, but it doesn't pass muster without much more information.

Sorry, Homie.....he isn't the best RB coach.

What exactly makes him under qualified? He played the position, spent time as a graduate assistant for a couple different universities, and even did a stint as an assistant in the NFL. What are the acceptable qualifications for a position coach? Different last name?
