Staff changes on Dec 28, here is my call

Unless guys leave for other jobs, I don't think Golden gets rid of anybody. He has shown a penchant for continuing to do things the exact same way no matter how many times it doesn't work. Besides, he's the ******* root of all the problems anyway. Bring in a new DC or defensive position coaches and you'll still see the exact same scheme and puckered ******* prevent D. Hire a new OC and you'll still see zero effective half time adjustments and conservative play calling in the second half of games against teams with a pulse. The guy has a 300 page binder that is the foundation of his entire professional career, Al Golden isn't going to wake up and just change his philosophies. He'll just keep digging in and doubling down until he goes bust.

Golden isn't getting rid of anybody
he is too soft on coaches and players
will not fire anyone
sub part coaching staff but thinks he can fix everything.
 
Who cares? It won't matter. We'll win between 5-8 games next year, excuses will be made, and nothing else will change. It's over.
 
Replace..
Caroll- Ice Haris or Lamar Thomas
Ice Harris- Kelly Lockett only if Ice Harris replace Carroll
Franklin- Kevin Patrick
Williams- T-Rob

and Onofrio- Jim Leavitt
 
When you are consistently improving then i can buy when he says continuity but if you take 2 steps back something has to change. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, so I have to expect a change to be coming.
 
Fire donuts, jethro, Williams, and hire back barrow to coach lbs and st. I wish the tumor could be removed....

I actually think we win 3-5 with all of the talent we are losing this year...maybe if golden goes to an up tempo spread offense and a 4-3 defense and fires donuts, jethro, and Williams we could win 7-9....but that's not going to happen.
 
If we got Patrick and Leavitt.... Oh man, that would be sweet. Now to find an OC that can recognize the importance of third down conversions.

I agree, something just tells me he'll have an "improved" season numbers wise (whether it be in the wins column, only allowing 499 yds/gm, or beating an 8-win team) and that'll be everyone's excuse to 'give him one more year'.

The WR's coach (forgot his ****ing name) no RECIEVERS this year but Dorsett. Berrios started out hot, is now a "Where are they now" candidate. Herb Waters, when he isn't hurt, isn't there, and Coley, well, LOL! ZERO hope for 2015 if that clown is still coaching WR's

The LB coach, living off DP, no body else improved one iota. Armbrister got worse every game. ZERO hope for next year.


I say fire Folden and the entire staff, but the "real" Canes fans want him here for 20 more years. :(

Interesting you mentioned Barrow. I'm under the impression he left because of Golden and his philosophy.

Are you serious? Well yes, I guess you are. You do realize this is a busy right! If he is not employed by UM he has the right to work anywhere. And if someone is employed by UM (MChristobol) and gets an offer to make more money under a highly respected HC, in a proven system playing for and winning NCs does that make them traitors?
 
I will be utterly baffled beyond recognition if not even ONE alteration to the staff is made FOLLOWING A FOURTH STRAIGHT LOSS. That's the f*cking twilight zone right there.

DC, WR, DB, & DL ALL need to be replaced. Stating the obvious there, but just want to echo everyone's sentiments. Also Lamar Thomas is trash, do not want. Sometimes we need to stop romanticizing former Canes as the solution to everything. Just get the best guys for the jobs in question.

OL was just crushed by injuries, Kehoe has had those guys playing better than people realize IMO. Keeping James Coley is critical both for recruiting & for Kaaya's development. We dont need a Hackenburg year out of him in 2015...James Franklin f*cked that kid up.

Better pray we keep the Personnel Director too. Despite the coaches' mismanagement of players, that guy has had elite talent steadily rolling in here against all odds, and I know for a fact that Alabama is gonna make a play for him after NSD. Depressing.
