A year ago they added more seats, which are closer to the field. However, they did not move the existing seats any closer to the field. So, if you were in row 20 in 2014, and you are in row 20 in 2016, your seat is going to be the exact same distance to the field as it was in 2014.

So they added seats closer to the field....which probably means rows closer to the filed. Suppose they added three rows. Wouldn't that make row 20 in 2014 row 23 in 2015-2016, and thus row 20 is three rows closer to the field now than it was before?

Ahhhh.. not sure you understand where the row count starts.. Try row one. Each sideline was completely redone with the first row 24 feet closer to the sideline then in 2014. So, yes, row one is closer as well as every other row.. difference is there are more rows now because the lower bowl is angled at a less steep angle to extend further (cant lower the field in Miami like they did at duke.)

Don't think he quite understands there's a roof now. Even the Jumbotrons will reflect the sound back. Put some people in there, and it will be loud.
 
My understanding is that row 1 of every section has been left in place. The new rows that are closer to the field will be numbered as negative integers, also known as imaginary numbers. The stadium DJ will also be playing more Adele and Coldplay in keeping with the more intimate atmosphere.

Looks nice, I hope someone has planned for the mud dobbers and birdies nesting in the rafters. Will the crowded promenades still be the same?

It really does look amazing. I guess I'm still confused by whether there are more roof panels going up or are those finished? The renderings appeared to show more of the stands covered than what currently exists in that video.
