Stadium will NOT be ready...

Bells and whistles and upgrades are nice. Moving the seats closer was good too. But it still didn't seem any louder or give us any homefield advantage last year. I don't think it ever will. Still too cavernous and it's all geared towards the Dolphins, not UM.

It actually will be louder fyi

How could it have been louder last year when the seats were empty? Partial roof keeping noise in similar to Seattle plus an actual ******* coaching staff putting people in seats...there will be more noise finally.

1. It's at the bare minimum seating the NFL will allow for the Super Bowl hosts

2. Well, it IS the Dolphins stadium, and they paid for 100% of the renovations

3. If you're unhappy, cut a check to Miami for $300 million so we can get our own place

Another faulktard troll post from someone with single digit posts.

Motherfūcker, you're not a fan and you've never been to a game. Because if you had, you'd know that the roof is going to make it louder, they had nothing at the top last season.

You're a whiny bītch with your it will never be right and you're so unhappy effeminate attitude.

Attention all you construction experts, engineering laureates, people with friends that work on it, crane operators, slow drive by geniuses, etc. There are a bunch of you that assured the readers here that there was absolutely NO WAY it would be ready.

Please come to the front. Explain now how a month away, this won't be ready.

Can't lie, I was one of the engineering experts and I'm sure Ross had to slip some extra money into the foreman's pockets b/c they literally turned on the construction jets to get to this point. Annnnd, I will also admit that I wasn't feeling the stadium, however, this does look real good and a lot better than before....now I see why Richt was so adamant about defending playing in this stadium.

Just one thing, rather than tarp of that one section, I would love to see giant Miami banners hang from the rafters covering that area.

Link to article about UM's empty section stadium Banner Covers
Miami Hurricanes Will Hang Banners To Make Stadium Look Less Empty

Paramus, that article is almost 2 years old.

I believe I read or heard somewhere that the banners won't hang anymore. I could be wrong. But I haven't heard anything about those banners since that came out which was well over a year and a half ago.
Paramus is in Jersey

Jeez, stop worrying about the banners. Ya'all sound like a bunch of girls picking out prom dresses. Be happy the field will be ready (unless somebody pulls a Canto).

I drove by on Google Maps and I swear, it'll never be ready in time.

If you are going to rely on a "drive by" using google maps, you need to look in the upper left corner to see the date stamp. Those views were done in 2015. NW 199th St was the most recent with July 2015. Carl Barger Blvd was recorded on 2/15/15.
Sheldon...yes it is sarcasm

So more posts= better fandom? Ok. I've been going to games since 1985, season tickets since 87. Quit while you're behind.

Has anyone actually sat in the seats as now configured? It almost looks like there will be a better view from the top of the lower sections or the bottom few rows of the top sections as the height will let you see the full field................we may wish to change our seats!!!!!

They put in a few rows closer to the seat but the other seats remain the same distance. In any case I don't know why everyone is so caught up over this. Its not the OB we know but I have heard this rock long before the renovations even under Shannon. Its naturally going to be louder with the roof echoing a lot of the noise, and people will have more energy without the sun tearing you a new tan etc. And with a better product on the field, these things will be put in the periphery. I can't wait to go watch the team, not because of the new upgrades and all that but because of the new staff.

My dad and I have 100 level tickets on the 20 in the 4th row, and I hope we can see. Either way, it should be nice and loud.

We should get Father Leo to lead us all on a pilgrimage to the old OB site for a week of prayers, fasting and then very heavy drinking(all the Baptists are free to leave then). We as Cane fans need to be released from the OB cruse that has been on the Dolphins since Robbie moved them and us she Donna proved she was just a girl after all. Then maybe the ghosts of all the great games, college, pro, Bowl, and Super Bowls will forgive us and we can win again. The place should have been a football scared site.

Seats are breathing on the field.

:emot-CANES:

Have you been to the stadium? Seats are still far from the field. Just not structured that way.

what?

A year ago they added more seats, which are closer to the field. However, they did not move the existing seats any closer to the field. So, if you were in row 20 in 2014, and you are in row 20 in 2016, your seat is going to be the exact same distance to the field as it was in 2014.
