Attention all you construction experts, engineering laureates, people with friends that work on it, crane operators, slow drive by geniuses, etc. There are a bunch of you that assured the readers here that there was absolutely NO WAY it would be ready.

Please come to the front. Explain now how a month away, this won't be ready.

Can't lie, I was one of the engineering experts and I'm sure Ross had to slip some extra money into the foreman's pockets b/c they literally turned on the construction jets to get to this point. Annnnd, I will also admit that I wasn't feeling the stadium, however, this does look real good and a lot better than before....now I see why Richt was so adamant about defending playing in this stadium.

Just one thing, rather than tarp of that one section, I would love to see giant Miami banners hang from the rafters covering that area.

That would actually be really dope

I'd like to see 150' Flag Pole outside the stadium with the worlds largest hurricanes warning flags flying.

Credit where credit is due, this stadium just went from a liability to an asset. Kids are going to want to play in the loudest stadium in the state, a modern super-bowl-worthy venue.

I'll eat crow Original as I was very skeptical of it getting finished....I thought the roof panels were going to be aluminium paneling but its gona be etfe cloth
I was hoping to be proven wrong and im glad that I'll have to buy some famu tix for me and the boys

The majority of the roof is metal. They are only doing cloth on the innermost part of the roof.

Covering the section with a massive hurricane warning flag would be cool. I always thought that flag should be more iconic to Miami football.

For the record, my inside sauce crane operator told me the stadium would be open for FAMU but they would still have a few finishing touches to do before FAU.

Any word on what type of crane he operates?

Paramus, that article is almost 2 years old.

I believe I read or heard somewhere that the banners won't hang anymore. I could be wrong. But I haven't heard anything about those banners since that came out which was well over a year and a half ago.

It's correct for the fans sitting in the seats behind it.

There won't be any banners.

New posters on the boards should make note: Whatever Paranos says, the opposite is true.

Thought I saw somewhere that adidas had a red and black U somewhere, so maybe they will include the flags at some point? I like the idea of using them as a turrible towel type deal. JMO

Of course you would rather fill a stadium but if you cant then the banners would be a great way to condense the crowd and reduce the Dolphin feel of the stadium. They should do it for all non FSU games.

That aside this photo also shows the different material on the inner edge of the roof. That may be one element that is not complete by first kick. ETFE is complicated stuff. It also requires air to be constantly pumped into it like a balloon.
