You know what’s crazy. Was just reminded how sick the open bowl design was of the OB with a view of downtown Miami and the ocean behind it, and how much better that view would look with the 10x number of high rises now.

And it blows my mind that neither HR or the new soccer stadium even try to attempt something similar. We’re right next to the water. Known for it. And none of our stadiums offer ocean views. Huh.

How much would it cost to blow up Marlins Stadium again and just start over?

The new futböl stadium tried on 5 different waterfront sites and MDC said, "De ninguna manera, meng y mate"

Pensive kinda night for OP

You’re absolutely right-The taxpayers of Dade county were fleeced. It’s a disgrace.
The only solution, of course, is to run those sad-sack Marlins out of town and then have a sugar-daddy buy the land and gift it to the University. Then, convert the White Elephant for football.

It's about the right size for MOST of our games, and could actually probably be adjusted for FSU and ND when necessary. Plus, it has a closable roof.

Would need an Orange and Green motif over the White paint job, though.

The Marlins aren't long for this world. It's what needs to happen.

Why do you think the Marlins aren't long for this world? They have a sweetheart rental agreement with MDC courtesy of Luria (how that dude isn't in jail for fraud, I have no idea). The new regime is following the Luria template for being profitable. Take the luxury tax money from the MLB, pocket most of it, and put out the only AAA team in the majors. As they discovered, the Marlins under Luria were not losing money each year as he had claimed to MDC, but was making money every year. The new regime even sold Jeter a bill of goods, as soon as they showed they too were going with the Luria template, Jeter was out.

That ship has sailed though. And I know this is sacrilege on this site, but it's actually a great place to watch a baseball game. Now, if they could just find ownership that can actually afford a team....

Anyway, unless some boosters with deep pockets are willing to buy land and build a stadium, Hard Rock is home.

Sadly, you're probably correct on all points. It would probably take Elon becoming a Canes fan to deliver us from this great wickedness.

My understanding is that Ruiz’s Tropical Park stadium is going to be super elevated bro and that when the retractable roof is open bro you can see south beach bro

because of that @rok will not only be toting his tailgate stuff down Miller Road on a Milan’s shopping cart but he’ll also be toting beachware because you can see south beach bro

Pretty sure you have it mixed up. The retractable roof stadium is gonna be located where Columbus is after they relocate it.

Appreciate the wishful thinking aspect but in reality there's a new holiday on the calendar called Saint Happening....LOL!!!

Or just get an owner who cares and have good baseball in the city.
