Stacy Searles Ol coach

Wow! Hope so - dude is an amazing OL coach IMO.

Based on?

Vag Tech has been known for their incredible running game and great pass protection the last few years. LOL
VT's 2014 OL stats are an abortion. There's no getting around that. Their 2015 stats look better though. Still pretty bad at pass protection but not awful in run blocking:

Definitely some red flags as you and others have pointed out but I'm keeping an open mind. He can't be worse than Kehoe. And if he isn't getting the job done I trust Richt to replace him.

Great hire. They say football games are
Won in the trenches. We got two of the best in the business coaching the DL and OL. All we need is a decent PEDs program, extra money for the kids and we should be winning championships again!! Just how the SEC, Clemson and FSU are doing... Level playing field baby!!

Some of y'all b*tch about anything, just stfu and let richt cook man.... Always questioning something, is he good? Why has he bounced around so much? Man quit being so apprehensive..... Obviously he knows what he is doing if he played in the league a number of years, coached at lsu, Uga, Texas and vt....

I definitely agree some people will b*tch about anything but there's nothing wrong with wanting to know more. For example:

-The Diaz hire raised some question marks, rightfully so. It brought out some much needed analysis regarding his defenses and some key things to look for in the spring.
-With Searles, he's got good pedigree but a lot of his previous fan bases haven't really been too upset about him leaving. Again, not saying it's a bad hire but we can start to figure out strengths/weaknesses and what to look for next season.
-Coach Kool is a bad dude. The only thing to look for is savagery. Not much else to say here.

Again, while some people are trashing it just cuz they hate themselves others are simply trying to figure out what kind of units these guys will produce.

How is coaching at 4 places in 11 years, when twice the change was precipitated by HC transitions, somehow concerning? And while you can't just write off the two years at VT, come on man. There's hardly a single offensive skill position player, aside from Ford, and certainly not a QB, who most of the ACC would even take in the last two years.

For some reason people are forgetting that we've been Goldenized. We're hiring coaches with years of experience a big time programs. Literally upgrading at everything.

Looks like a mean cuss from the south. Works for me.

I'm all for breaking down this hire but using the excuse that other fan bases weren't sad to see him go is invalid. Fans in college football are crazy. They see one bad game from a position group and they think the coach sucks. I remember after Alabama lost to ole miss there were bama fans that wanted nick Saban fired.

Read his bio and then say he's a bad hire....

I'm not saying he's out of this world but he's proven and has the body of work.

Going to watch film of his lines through his career at schools and get an idea of how he operates.

I do expect the run game to improve quite a bit under his watch of the OL.
