Stacy Coley is truly scared of physical contact

I tried to keep the comment to myself with Stacy because I talked to highly of him since following him in HS and watching his freshman year.

BUt I don't know what happened with him. If anyone notices he literally slows down before the point of contact like he is scared. I have never seen anything like it. Is he hurt? His weight and strength is not an excuse he legitimately looks scared to get hit.

Ya I notice this as well, he got shaken up by an average tackle during the game

He tippy toes too much in traffic and tight quarters.

It's amazing to me cause everything I saw from him in high school made me think he'd be a run-after-the-catch monster. He's been the exact opposite...I don't see that acceleration or explosion at all.

Then again...it could be the God forsaken system is not getting him the ball where he can do the most damage. Probably a combo of both.

He's soft.

This whole team is soft. Everytime something bad happens during a game, the whole team, including the coaching staff, curl up in the fetal position with their teeth chattering. Then it takes 1or 2 quarters for them to snap out of it. By then its too late. Al has pussified almost every player on this team. For a minute today, during the few fights that took place, I thought he might have let them dogs off the chain. But then it was back to reality. We are a slow, weak, gutless team that has taken on the persona of our coach. I look forward to the day this is all over.

You guys still bashing the players? LOL What happened with Coley this year is just a symptom of the problems at Miami. You can't name a player on this team that doesn't have some glaring weakness because our guys are constantly put into bad situations. This staff makes Duke and Perryman look like average players.

Why you think Bama players go pro and then do **** once they get there? Because Saban knows how to coach to his players strengths and doesn't ask them to do things they can't. Meanwhile, Miami's players best days our always ahead of them once they leave.

saban has 5 and 4 star players all over the field and as backups. that will hide a lot of players weaknesses.

Totally agree,Coley on kick offs
returns is scared stiff he's going to be injured and end his future NFL career. But he's not the only one. It's been a problem at the U for years, ever
since Melvin Bratten and Craig Ericksen,And here lies many of the U's problems;highly recruited players, next stop NFL.So why take a chance and be
injured.Solution=Go after players like Skai Moore and James Burgess. They not going to the NFL,but they sure enjoy knocking the crap out of Cane players.

I've said this before but it looks like he needs contact lenses....sometimes it looks like he can't see where the ball is.

You do realize that we have four and five stars all over the field also but are 6-7

He might be saving himself for an early jump to nfl next year. He probably looked at Duke giving his all for this team only to get constantly hurt and stuck with a 6-7 coach. His performance won't help his draft stock, but at least he'll get out of here healthy, get away from this coach and get paid.

Something was missing with him since the opening kickoff at Louisville when Burgess cleaned him up. There appears to be a hesitancy to his game that was not there last year when he played a very fluid game. That is likely not coach induced. Some of it could be a rhythm with Kaaya that never got smooth, but it also looks like he prepares for a hit rather than playing through it.

I do agree that the team as a whole melts at almost any sign of adversity.

I think he stop caring when he realized he was never going to get the ball besides a screen pass. He was a decoy in 90% of the games.

He stopped caring after the first hit in the first game?

You become more than a decoy when you catch the balls thrown to you. He didn't do that with regularity.

He has dropped a lot of passes too, ive noticed the same, hes scared of contact, saw it his first game when he dropped the two TDs, i gave him a pass since it was his first game but there is no excuses now, he needs to toughen up
