This guy has done the least with the most on the staff for 3 years solid. During the Savannah State game where we should've just ran all over them at will, we were pushed back and busted in the mouth for the first 45 minutes of the game. Check out what former FSU OL Forrest Conoly had to say. Go to the 52:25 and then the 1:00:25 marks in the video. He was ragging the OL for not making first contact, playing too high, and not being physical. This has bothered me all year. Something is wrong. This 2018 OL is no better than the 2016 OL. Maybe even worse.
Step #1 in fixing this offense has got to be replacing Searles.
The sad reality is that outside of Dugans and Brown (strictly as a RB coach)...the entire offensive side of the ball needs an overhaul.....to me it would start with a quality OC that may have input on preferable OL coaches. Hartley on TEs is fine to me, though specials clearly need help.
Regardless, I couldn't agree more that Searles is clearly not making ANY progress, rather he is regressing and our lineman are getting softer. Richt's playcalling is exactly a huge assist running into a numbers issue on seemingly most run calls.
UM
Why? Because the other good ol' boy AKA Marky Mark says the offense ISN'T executing the plays and what not. Which reads it's NOT Searles or Junior or Marky Mark's fault. hUh.
