Stacey Coley...

I hope we continue to stretch out defenses by sending him vertical out of the slot. One of these times, he's going to be matched up against a Safety, plant his foot and be open by 7 yards down the middle of the field. I hope it's against FSU.

Exactly why I said last year he should of been shirted. SC is softer then charmin ultra. His work ethic is one of the worst on the team I've been told. Doesn't run sharp routes, not good at blocking, and had awful hands. Not to mention the kid is a tooth pick. Burgess ended any confidence he had in week 1. The kid has been a complete bust this season. He has about 50 yards and all his returns are trash. And people said he would be GOAT lol

Lost his mojo

Needs a big game to get his confidence back

and really...it looks like Coley is trying everything and anything to get this kid back on track....even at the expense of the team. Do we really need to see him returning kicks anymore? Is he not able to handle some tough love? I'd love to see Dorsett get some time returning kicks to help his NFL future AND the Canes.....right NOW!

I have zero interest in Dorsett returning kicks. He's fast, but is not a guy that makes people miss.

This is why we should have been all over Isaiah McKenzie.

I'd try Elder back there.

smart move or burns

You a mutha ***** lie ain't nobody at UM ever told you no bull **** like that about Stacy. Also open your eyes kid actually attempts to block and at least creates extra yardage with his blocks on multiple big plays this year (go watch he made key block on Gus long TD run. This site is to funny. Still waiting for someone to tell me about all these routes our WR run that he can't because the 5 routes our wr routinely run don't require much if any getting in and out of breaks. But he can't run routes tho

Got to love the fake insiders.

I think he just needs an opportunity. take last yr for example, when PD and Duke were there he wasn't much of a factor. Once they got hur and we had no choice but to use him, he made plays. he needs a few plays that are not screens or bombs or returns. Maybe a couple of crossing routes, an out, or a deep in.. routes like that. get some catches and get him feeling like he's part of the offense. However, I personally would like to see wayyy more of Herb first... That kid has played a a different speed when he has gotten the opportunities this season. But we are going to need all of them at one point or another.. I think BK could do a better job of throwing outside the hashes. Though, that is about the only thing he is not doing well...

It looks to me like they're trying to bury the kid...bubble screens, dumb-*** trickeration wild cat reverses. They haven't even attempted to throw to him down field since the second game of the year when he dropped a sure touchdown. Isn't he a wide receiver? Then get him in the mix. If he can't hack it then at least we know what we have. I'm betting that once they show confidence with him, he reverts back to form.

The same thing happened last year when he dropped one of Morris's passes early. The only difference is they went back to him.

Maybe theyre not throwing to him because he's not getting open? Even last season how many times did he get open down field? His highlights are all screens that he took to the house (which is awesome) and plays with busted coverages like Pitt, or against USF who was horrendous. Not saying hes a bust, just dont think the staff is trying to "bury the kid." He has tremendous potential but needs to improve. We've played garbage teams all season and he hasn't done anything, thats a pretty big red flag.

Watch the games...closely. Not just the camera angle on the football but the routes as they're developing. Although he's not open on every play, there are numerous instances every game where he's broken clean. It's clear even from a TV angle. They're just not going to him. It's as if he's down field only as a decoy.

I endorse this quote. :joyous:

ps. I also don't understand the use of Waters. Whenever, he gets the ball, he makes things happen. Is he destined to be another Sam Shields (who sees his best days after he leaves)?

I have no idea why or how he went from the featured player in the offense last year to being on the bench this year.

I would have a short leash on him early in the FSU game. If he doesn't do anything significant in the kicking game, I would have Duke back there on KO and Dorsett on PR.

You dont put Duke back there. Regardless of the Opponent. If he gets hurt, the game is over. I rather have the ball on the 20y line than having to Play without Duke. Too many good returners on this Team to risk Duke.
Dorsett didnt so well returning last year.

I just hope Coley has a breakout game...

Put artie back there on kr

I want to see what corn elder can do too be so good in high school I just want to see him with the ball in his hands... I'd shift him bac to PR since he'd already be on the field but the tape loomed elite I want to see what he can do everybody else this year has been mediocre if that so far

Calling it now. Dorsett will receive the most attention heading into the FSU game out of our receivers. It will lead to a breakout game by Coley and Herb...in order to win the offense needs to click on all cylinders. Duke will Duke.
