Spring Transfer Portal

We aren’t keeping up with Texas or USC schools that have been just as disappointing on the field but clearly have a better NIL program than us.

Our NIL game is overhyped.

We should be back channeling every kid from the Miami area at all positions of need and offering them big money to come home.
Usc is far ahead of us sir.

Cisco - best LB
Deen and Mesidor - 2 of top 3 Dlineman/edge guys
Parrish - top RB in 2022
Lee + Cohen - 2 of top 3 o-lineman
DPJ and Brown - top 2 corners
Colbie Young - best WR

Agude was 2nd-best edge in 2022
Darrell Jackson was best DT in 2022

Sure there have been some bad evals, and no he’s not a top 5 portal guy. But C’mon guys. Most positions have a transfer that’s top or near the top of their position. At least make some valid points instead of pi$$ing down your leg for fun.
Some people just want to live in their world, let it be.

Been pretty underwhelming and disappointing in the portal tbh.
He has had some good pickups but overall just okay. Optically not many splash pickups. Evals from the 22 pool were bad and on field production even worse. Messidor was a great pickup and Parrish was decent but we ran him into the ground. The rest were a JAG convention. Cohen was a big splash and Lee is a big time pickup. Francisco was family to Francis and I’ll wait and see how good he actually is, our LB situation was ****. Remains to be seen what happens with Brown(CB). Gore and Roberts don’t belong and Deen is a nice and decent pickup but nothing amazing. We still haven’t addressed the WR spot and we are in the home stretch of two portal cycles now. DT is lacking as well. He has time but he recruits at an elite level with HS kids but is average at best in the portal.

Agude was a miss. Same with Caleb Johnson. Roberts is a miss as well. Colbie Young was part of the 22 class. Daryl Porter is a miss as well. Guy was brought in to start and he didn’t start. Just cause he turned his head on a pass play in the spring doesn’t make him a hit. Darrell Jackson was much needed when we got him but he was okay. Messidor was great in 22 and Parrish was very good. The rest were mid at best.

Daryl Porter is very likely our starting CB this season. Mitchell Agude was a very solid pass rusher for us, I disagree that he was a miss. Caleb Johnson is in-between meh and miss, so I won't argue about that.

Ehhh I wouldn’t say Agude was solid lol

We have considerably different heights for the bar that constitutes a hit then. We were hitting the portal for difference makers and outside of Messidor none of them were that. Parrish was right there on the cusp. Our over dependence on him ran him into the ground. In the end that portal haul led us to get blown out by Mid Ten state.

Got it. So if the dude’s not a first team all-American, he’s a JAG.

I suggest checking out til 2025 then, or lower your wildly unrealistic expectations. No coach, not even Saban, does what you’re implying Mario fails to do.

A hit in my opinion is someone who comes here and contributes at a quality level or turns into a starter. Not every transfer guy will be a Rambo or Jaelan Philips. Parrish had 750 total yards 6TDs last season, I would consider that a hit. A miss to me is someone who either doesn't play or when they do they struggle significantly.
