Over a GSU JAG? Yes. Especially one with the last name Cristobal. ... Bringing him on scholly is a BAD LOOK.
I can tell you right now he’s better than Seymore. Seymore doesn’t even belong in the Fun Belt.

Maybe I’m being harsh, but Watch tonight.

Again I’m not arguing he deserves immediate attention and a scholly thrown his way, just that he’s a better player than some we currently have and while it would be an extremely minor upgrade in depth, it’s nonetheless “technically” an upgrade.

Should we be shooting higher? Yes, absolutely. Is it going to be hard to convince a talented player to be a second stringer here and play minimal snaps because the 1st unit is **** near elite? Also yes.

Our second unit o-line is equivalent to a mid G5 line. At least this guy proved himself against respectable competition on an o-line that paved the way for 4.4 ypc and over 200 ypg.

WBB, I know you know this. But upgrading the worst line we've had in history should not be the benchmark for success.

We're arguing hypotheticals here, since we don't know if he'd come in as a PWO or on scholarship. But hypothetically, if he does come in on scholly, then it would really damage Mario's credibility. It would reek of nepotism that we saw in darker days (Richt's kid, Whipple's kid, Cannon Smith, Shannon's kid, etc.). And it would fly in the face of Mario's mantra about building a program based on merit. I would actually be more ****ed off about this than I was about the Gattis debacle.

I won’t make excuses for him…it shouldn’t be the benchmark for this program or unit. We shouldn’t be recruiting slightly more polished trash to replace normal trash. Just given the circumstances…it’s going to be tough to add quality depth as it stands. Everyone thinks they deserve to be a starter nowadays.

I’ll hold off til we find out it’s a scholly offer or PWO.

He's not better than Seymore i doubt that.

What makes him a better player?

What makes him a better player?
What makes Seymore better? That he has some stars next to his name? Or we still doing that thing where we hope someone that hasn’t shown a modicum of talent or development takes that gigantic leap?

At least this dude worked his way into the starting rotation in a relatively successful G5 conference.

Again, it’s not the bar we need to be at or should strive to be at. I hope we get him as a PWO. But I think he’s better than Seymore and Rodriguez. Just keeping it real, my opinion.

I don’t think the GSU kid deserves one, or any or the players you listed with the exception of Denis and McLaughlin
I got you - I’m being harsh but there’s a ton of waste on this roster as we know. I almost just want new bodies in because maybe there’s something there Mirabal or other staff members can unlock…we know what we’re getting with many of these holdovers. It’s just copium on my end, but also on others that refuse to give up on guys that just aren’t good.

Portal entries on our end will tell the full story and who the staff thinks can be salvaged.

Gaby says he's going to put a CB in for Cristobal, we really going to give out a scholarship to a backup 6ft Guard from a 4-8 Georgia State team who was a Redshirt junior last year? It's got to be a walk on

Telling the truth isn’t being harsh sir.

As soon as the rest of this OL class comes in, McLaughlin will be hanging on by a finger nail to his roster spot.

Same goes for Washington. He’s been here long enough to know he’s not even a contributor at this level. Let him get his degree, thank him for his effort, and send him on his way.

Mario is going to bring in a GSU Jag nephew to replace the OR jags he brought in last year to duck tape the OL…

Why not?

They’re both 5’11, 260lbs, and can’t hold a block.

What makes one scrub better than the other?
Seymore is bigger and stronger and have been going against better players since high school.
He wasnt a better player in high school and still isnt now.

Seymore atleast camped or played against alot of guys currently on our team or other div 1 guys and held his own or beat on them.

He just has size short comings..but this kid barely got a GA STATE offer. Seymore when forced into action last year had some bad film and also some good honestly. He's a deep rotation guy imo...no way shape or form i offer cristobal a schollie.
