One thing to remember about recruiting, it’s fluid. The rest will follow.

Below you will see some prospects at the position who the Canes are recruiting, are in discussion, or who I would like to see the staff recruit. You will also see some teams who I deem contenders for their services.

Arch Manning, 6’4 220 Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas
He’s not realistic from a Canes perspective. But, he’s on most teams wish list and he was offered by the U. With that being said, based on the contenders I expect him to land in the SEC like his 2 uncles and grandfather. He wants to see the field early, so a favorable depth chart will be key.

Dante Moore, 6’2 200 LSU, Michigan, Michigan St, and Notre Dame
Came down for the spring game and Miami is in the thick of it. Nonetheless, will be a tough pull from Michigan.

Jaden Rashada, 6’4 190 Arizona St, Arkansas, Auburn, and Oklahoma
Relatively speaking, I think Rashada is really open. I don’t expect him to stay on the west coast. I could see programs continually angling for his brothers and I expect name in likeness to be a factor. Of all the QB’s I will list, he’s my favorite.

Eli Holstein, 6’4 230 Alabama, LSU, Ohio St, and Texas A&M
Former commitment of Texas A&M. Opened things up and was offered by Miami.

Dylan Lonergan, 6’2 220 Alabama, Ohio St, South Carolina, and Georgia
Also a baseball prospect, Lonergan is a guy I would like Miami to show more interest in.

Cedric Baxter, 6’1 220, Florida and USC
RB 1 on the board. Originally from South Florida.
Richard Young, 5’11 205, Alabama, Ohio St, Oklahoma, and Florida
Manchild is the definition of a national recruit.
Treyuan Webb, 6’1 210, Florida, South Carolina, Penn St, and Tennessee
Been on the radar since the 8th grade. Not sure of the interest on either side. Has set up 4 official visits thus far.
Samuel Singleton, 5’11 185, Florida St, Michigan, Michigan St, and Tennessee
My preference would be to add 2 RB’s to the room this cycle. Singleton is a prospect during the spring that I would gauge interest.
Reuben Owens, 5’11 195, Texas, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Alabama
The big time national guy that will be a a tough pull out of Texas
