Spring Practice 1 observations

Spring practice is upon us which means we get our first look at the 2026 Hurricanes who will aim to go one step further than last year’s squad who fell just short in the national championship.

I always preface these observations with the fact that it’s from a very small sample size, as well as performance and momentum can vary throughout spring and fall.

With that said, here’s my observations from the opening practice at Greentree:

Remember how down people were on Bain after he had a poor sophomore season dealing with some injuries and being a touch out of shape. Pepperidge Farms remembers. I look at Lofton similarly.
Except bain had a great freshman year and wasn’t poor in his sophomore year..Lofton situation isn’t similar
 
lol someone on Twitter who is supposedly at practice said Barkate doesn’t look good and probably the 7th best WR. Hahahaha I hate our fan base man.

If that's true (unlikely) then we have a tremendous WR room.
 
We still have to wait 64 days just to get to the 100 day countdown.
