Ahead of Georgia? Michigan?

I'm a bit surprised. Think the writers were hitting the pipe when they wrote this?

Georgia yes. Michigan no. If Oklahoma can find a QB and fix that trash defense they would also be ahead of us as well. But they lost a lot.

Georgia lost a lot, way more than Miami.
Michigan is grossly overrated every year and they had a bad recruiting class in 2018.

Sure seems like Harbaugh has lost ground the last couple of years. But he was going to find it hard to build the offense he wants in college as the quarterbacks good enough to really execute it aren't going to stick around long. And the ones not good enough, aren't good enough.

Sure be nice to have that first problem for a change, though.
 
Preseason polls are ridiculous. Vegas has us as a 2.5 dog to LSU. They're saying we're not a top 10 team. I put much more merit into Vegas than anyones preseason polls. They dropped us from a 1 point fav to a dog after spring scrimmages. They must have heard that the freshmen QB's weren't catching on and that Rosier was going to be the starter. We have to many question marks and not a good enough Qb to overcome them. We don't deserve a top 10 ranking IMHO. If we go out and beat L$U and F$U then we deserve it, but not until then.

Look around at other teams and don’t act like Miami is the only team that has to figure out a few things. Other teams lost way more than Miami yet they still have lofty rankings while Miami returns a lot in addition to that a talented recruiting class

So why do some of these other teams "deserve" their rankings? We have to win out first, but nobody else does.

And Vegas had us as an underdog to ND, so yeah they're always right.

If you wanted to be accurate and not just dog Miami, you'd say all these polls, and what Vegas thinks, are meaningless. I mean you talk about our QB play, but you neglect to mention how awful LSU's QBs are. There's a reason they're desparate to bring in Joe Burrow.

Considering they have a 5 star QB Kyler Murray coming in, its not that crazy for them to fix their defense in year 2 of Lincoln Riley. Will it happen who knows. But I wouldn't be surprised to see them back in the CFP.

Problem is Kyler Murray is projected as the #36 overall prospect in the mlb draft. He had better prospects as a professional career in baseball over football so he might now even play football this fall regardless

Yeah I saw that. If he leaves for the MLB draft then for sure they will be in big trouble. I still want to see what Joe Burrow is going to do. A lot of people think he is going to LSU but if he waited to see what Kyler is going to do he could end up at OU.

It’s looking like burrow is leaning to Cincinnati at the moment, apparently they promised he would start and it’s close to his hometown

Oklahoma is going to have a quarterback better than Mayfield. Murray the number 2 recruit his class.
