Al Folden has ruined my beloved Canes and made me hate football.

I will be not watching this team until he's gone.

F*CK YOU GOLDEN.

It's exactly the same ****** situation as with Shannon. I can't for the life of me hope we lose so we can get rid of our coach, but it's what we need. ******* terrible.

I really can't believe we're back here all over again but it's true. And it hurts.

Unfortunately for Al, and fortunately for us, losing the alumni is always step 2 in the process of getting fired. Step 3 might be these next two Saturdays when fan attendance will be at about 42k for FAMU and 34k for Arky State. Then a potential embarassing blowout loss to NEB. At that point, I think his fate is sealed barring some miracle where we somehow run the table.

People thought Randy lost his job because we lost to USF that day..Randy lost his job because there were 19,000 people at Sun Life. I was there. It was akward to be there to say the least. You just knew that Randy was going to get fired win or lose. It was embarassing. I was ashamed that it was being shown on TV. And to think he never saw it coming.

I think Al will be the same way. I think he thinks Shalala wont fire him but if we go 6-6/7-5 he is done.

Your dead on. Shannon got fired because of the open fan revolt that had most of those 19k at the usf game openly mocking the program and wearing tshirts killing Shannon.

This thing is on the verge of imploding on Al, and he has no good will with those who remember him begging ped state to hire him a few months ago.

6-6/7-5 gets him fired. I truly believe that.

Will the players tank in revolt to Golden????

If you want to get the coach fire, don't show up for the games. Nothing worse to see on national TV than an empty stadium.

42K for FAMU? 35K for Arky State? Give me your crack pipe!!!!

Stadium will be empty for both. I expect PAID attendance at that level maybe, but actual is going to be below 25k, **** maybe below 20k.

I think a 2-3 start with back to back losses to Nebraska and Duke will put the final nail in the coffin. Sadly, if you fire Folden, who replaces him as interim coach? My god, can you imagine No D or Coley running this team. We would be more of a laughing stock than we are now if that is possible.

....Shannon only got four years while producing better results on the field.

The only difference is that Randy Shannon didn't have to follow Randy Shannon. He made his own mess.
True. Then, Shannon would have had Ted Bridgewater and a much better defense the last four years. So the results still would have been better.

Eh, the revisionist history is starting to get a little deep around here. Shannon's fourth year was an abomination. And Al's is looking like it might turn out the same way. But let's not pretend that Shannon was accomplishing something. As he got his own guys in here, the program got worse.
Follow along, and don't get emotional. Shannon was putrid. Golden is producing worse results on the field. You think that means anyone thinks Shannon did a good job, or do you think it means compared to the bottom of the barrel Al still fails?

Al's like a 325 pound chick in a g-string bikini standing next to a 315 pound chick (Shannon) in one of those one pieces with the little skirt that at least tries to hide some ripples.

Solid work right here...

When I reach the "root for the opposing team" place, which seems to be every couple years these days, I actually feel relieved. Like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Perhaps it's experiencing that wonderful feeling of knowing that the team you root for is going to emerge victorious. Whatever it is, I am excited about the upcoming blowout losses!

Golden was a man who had a plan when he came through the doors. He's extremely stubborn and have used every excuse in the book....let's go over them: Yr 1 (we're changing the culture around here); Yr 2 (we're young, we're still learning); Yr 3 (the "cloud"); Yr 4 (tbd)....you see, Al has neglected to take any responsibility for the ineptitude of this program. Were we fielding UA and Army All Americans at every position? No, but we fielded several high quality football players. Teams like UL, Bama, FSU, UNC, Duke with their coaching combined w/ the talent that Al has had here would be in the title picture each year. Like Salisbury said, when we get 5* talent, our job is to keep them at a 5*, if we get 4*
talent, our job is to coach them up to a 5* level and if we get the 3* level, we are supposed to squeeze that inner 4* in them. Our boys are not being coached up and the excuses are running rampant. It's time to be a man, Al, look in the mirror and say I'm not the guy to run this ship. Make some changes to your staff at the coordinators position or GTFO.

Here's the rub, when AG gets fired that means this admin needs to make yet another hire. No need to comment on the track record -last three hires say it all.

Its FAMU man. Large alumni base down here including myself. Dating back to the 60s/70s/80s/present day..PLUS the students who will car pool down here from tallahassee. FAMU will bring 10k people alone between students and local alumni. And the band always brings at least 2-3k people out to see them when you think of local High schools etc..

There is about 30k DIE HARD cane fans. So thats where my 40k number comes from.

Now I probably shot a little high for Arky State. I agree that 25-30k is about right.

I would think 80% or more of the season ticket holders will be in attendance for the home opening just because it's the first home game.

I hate myself for attending this game. I knew I shouldn't have spent so much money on my season tickets. It's just not worth it anymore.

I am with Frank.... I'm boycotting this program until Al is fired. I sold or gave away my Duke tickets, Vtech, and UVa tickets. I've given away.. still gonna fly down and just enjoy Ft Lauderdale... I mean why do I need to spend my hard earned money watching this emotionless coach. He doesn't have any emotion and then has that whoa is me face. I'm done Al Thanks for ruining the team I've been following since 1985..

I have faith in the fact that Barry Jackson and the rest of the Miami journalism GOONS will get the attention of the RIGHT people

Good to see the pressure mounting and criticism pouring in...

If Arkansas State somehow pulls off a shocker, it would be the greatest gift this program has ever received. There is simply no conceivable way you can lose a game to THAT opponent, AT HOME, and survive. They'd be forced to fire him.

It would be the Randy Shannon USF game on steroids.

There are people, RIGHT NOW, on this board and elsewhere contending that if you're fed up with the worst stretch of games in the history of this program to the degree that you think changes need to be made on this coaching staff, that you're being irrational and reactionary. That your expectations (i.e. don't be a part of the worst stretch of games in the history of this program) are unfair and unreasonable.

Let that sink in.

But before it gets deep enough in to reduce your brain to a molten puddle of rage, that ludicrous mindset? That illogical infuriating thought process? It's deeply ingrained in the mind of the only person who can make the changes needed to prevent it from happening again. That's what you call being well and truly ****ed.

Shut it. Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman at QB. Plus punter at WR. One player drafted his first year plus a player just shot. It wasn't all rosy. He brought in players his first 3 years. Same thing Golden is doing. Only thing Golden could use the cloud to cover his crappy *** game plans and atrocious record against any decent team.

Are u thick? No D would never stay without Golden. It be open season on that fat *****. Plus after Golden stood up for him and his crap it be low to stick around. No D is coaching high school next. No one will hire that clown to coach anything above DIII after what he has done here. Smh
