he said he was never a fan of the golden hire because it wasnt a big name and he is not sure he has the attitude. that being said, he played def when randy was coordinator and said randy really hated recruited. he would offer whole teams or kids who didnt have alot of offers because they would accept.
basically the 2008 class made him think he could do it every year. he said in goldens defense, he walked into amess and the upper classmen werent miami caliber players. he said golden recruits well and he has developed guys he brought it like tracy, duke, and denzel but he is just not sold on him yet. He said he always had bias because he was not a big name so it wasnt **** to him. He said if golden leaves with this class, people better hope they sign butch quick. lol

wouldn't mind Butch back. He has an eye for talent, but wasn't that great of a game day coach.
 
Golden was as big a name as we are getting. If someone didn't know who Al Golden was you didn't follow football. If you thought we were getting a Gruden, you aren't being realistic. IF Golden leaves, no big name is coming here. Strong is a pipedream.

OP always has recently spoke to "someone who played for Golden" or blah blah. Shut up.
 
What the heck does this have to do with the defense and why we suck and are missing on recruits

Golden was as big of a name as we were gonna get the Gruden thing I never bought it
Because the guy has a **** of a gig at espn

We were already a contract and a half over due so we couldn't afford more money on a big name coach

Al ain't sleeping right now because this could be life or death for his career he better come out the gate swinging the next time he shows his face
Or it's a wrap

He is was on the other side line watchin the kids he either got out recruited on or he over looked stomp him into the ground
Our defense sucks and he has kids throwing up the 305 and the U throat slashing
A kid that was committed to the program and he couldn't keep him committed

Al ain't sleeping right now and the kids he keeps getting that are sleepers suck this is the big leagues he better strap it up

Golden couldn't keep Bridgewater committed what an ignorant remark as Teddy dropped as soon as Randy was let go and never gave Al a chance.
 
At UM I lived next door to Kehoe's girlfriend. Didn't like him then, don't like him as our OL coach.
 
Since we're name dropping... I worked with Dallas Crawford (Steve Crawford) and Chase Ford's (Steve Ford) dads. I grew up and went to school (MS) with PBuch. Other notable names Noel Devine, Jevon Kearse. **** I even know Deion Sanders and Ernest Graham. I have nothing interesting to say from any of them though lol.
