SPARQ Rating

What is considered a good SPARQ rating for a WR?

It's not that simple because you also have to consider the components of the score. For instance lets say you have a travis Benjamin type player that will have a killer 40 time but low rating for power ball, so he will have a semi high sparq rating. But if you jam TB at the line of scrimmage he will be useless because h doesn't have the strength to get off the jam, however if a db misses on the jam TB will be wide open for a long score. Where as a player like Allen hurns may not have a high sparq rating but as a WR he does everything right and had more receiving yards than TB, but TB is considered the more dangerous Wr.

But to answer your Question a score in the high 90's is a good score.

Here is a break down of the Orlando Camp Sparq ratings ( which includes RB Dexter Williams who had the nations 2nd highest score)

Here is also the Miami Camp Sparq rating ( and south Florida generally has the nation's best athletes)( you can sort the list by WR's and then you will see the WR Sparqs grouped together)

Paranos that was very helpful as it allowed me to match my sons results against other kids. He scored 90.01 which included him slipping twice in both the 40 and shuttle (wrong type shoes). He did end up with a 37 vertical and 37.1 powerball toss. He got invited to the Charlotte NFTC this weekend. Just wanted to see what is considered a good SPARQ Rating for WR.

The kid's measurables play a role in it as well. It gets weighted differently depending on your size. If a kid that weighs say 230 runs a 4.4 it gets weighted higher than a kid running a small guy like Duke (out of HS) running the same 4.4. Same goes for the powerball toss. If a smaller player throws the same powerball as a bigger one, the smaller player's gets weighted higher. So it also depends on the size of the WR you are talking about.
