Spare me the world beater Garbage

This is a tough, tough Indiana Football team.

BUT REMEMBER!!!!

Nebraska came into the Orange Bowl in New Year's Night 1984 a 15 point favorite. Our QB was Bernie Kosar. Nobody ever heard of that guy. We were basically a team of scrubs going up against Mike Rozier and Irving Fryar. THAT was a World Beating team, not this Indiana club, as good as they are.

And we won.

We've climbed the Mountain before.

Amazing how mere inches can change everyone's perspective. If the IU WR doesn't barely get his toe down, they likely lose to Penn St., and if the L'ville defender has shorter nails, he doesn't get that last pick, and we likely win that game.
The narrative would be completely different from what it is now.

Both teams are really good, and it should be a great game.

Thats 3 of the 14 games lol and those are competitive programs im talking about the obvious lesser teams
So what point are you making? Who gives a **** about how they play scrubs? They are playing us now. Win or lose, we aren't scrubs

Old Dominion — 10-3
Kennesaw State — 10-4
Indiana State — 4-8 (FCS)
Illinois — 10-3
Iowa — 8-4
Oregon — 11-1
Michigan State — 4-8
UCLA — 3-9
Maryland — 4-8
Penn State — 6-6
Wisconsin — 4-8
Purdue — 2-10
Ohio State - they beat them by less than us
Alabama - looked horrendous the last half of the season
Oregon - Didn’t even try the 2nd time

I reviewed this last night and did a small deep dive into the game stats...They must have played a short field most of the season, because I don't know how Mendoza was getting 4 TDs with 177 yards passing.

They do have a robust run game according to stats tho.

Mendoza is Tom Brady and Indiana is the Patriots Dynasty. I am loving the ESPN talking points. I hope they take it even further and say this Indiana team is better than the 01 Miami team.

Glaze away ****ers. Our boys eat that **** up.
You know as a Giants fan, this Miami run reminds me a little of the 2007 Giants who ended up beating what I consider to be the greatest NFL team of all time (18-1 Patriots). No disrespect to people on here who probably like the Phins but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better NFL team since that Pats squad. They were running through almost everyone. Rarely were they ever challenged.

The Giants barely made the playoffs as a wildcard team that year. Were 10-6, with all 6 losses coming against other playoff teams including the Patriots in the regular season. Sorta similar to our 2 tough losses against teams who people don’t seem to want to respect Louisville (9-4) and SMU (9-4). Similar to the Giants, this Miami team has been successful with elite defense and just enough offense. Being the more physical team when it mattered. No one giving them a chance week in week out. Big underdog in the Championship game.

I need to know our actual detailed injury report. Relatively healthy and we play a pretty clean game, I have us winning this. I think we bully them like everyone else that just lines up to go to war with us. We must stop the run and take away their bread and butter back shoulder sideline pass to Saratt. I am only worried about the first 2 sentences. That's it. Can't wait!

I agree 100%. Miami plays it’s brand of football without penalty, we will see ring 6

Iowa fumbled going into the endzone and missed a 42 yd field goal not to mention the turnover inside the 20 on the first series of the game. Iowa gave them the game with a bow.

If Ferentz ever gets a competent QB they'd make make the playoffs consistently maybe get a chip before he retires that man can coach! An all timer without a chip like Whittingham.

I have way more confidence in this game than the others. Fiesta Bowl (not ole miss) gave me aches just cause of the jinx from previous games there. No team f-cking with us right now unless we do ourselves in.
