I mean hyperbole much there USA Today writer? Good grief. The sounds like any kid on any underdog team in America when told they're an four-touchdown underdog. Quit trying to make some "family ties" story here out of nothing.
How is this "swagger" as much as typical Generation Z overconfidence. What's Gore supposed to say?

"I'm scared to go back home to Miami, where I can lay and egg and prove that they were right to not offer me a scholarship. They're gonna wreck us. We shouldn't even lace 'em up."

He really looked like a player who is not at the Miami level. And to the posters who doubted Miami not recruiting him, do you get it now?
