South Florida has seen a renaissance in trench prospects! We have had guys making plays at the FCS, FBS and even the NFL level for a couple years now. Here are this year's prospects.

Floyd Boucard, Miami Central (6'3" 315) - Montreal native. Moved from Canada to Mobile, Alabama as a junior and won a state title with Mobile Christian, then transferred to Central as a senior. Violent run stuffer that plays to the echo of the whistle. Frame to play nose, but fluid enough to play 3 tech. Grew up playing hockey. USC signee.

Randy Adirika, Miami Central (6'4" 275) - Tall DT with powerful base and elite penetration ability. Played with Armondo Blount as a junior and most of the time was quicker getting into the backfield. 17 sacks and 55 TFLs last two seasons of high school. Penn State signee.

Davion Dixon, Miami Palmetto (6'2" 290) - Belen transfer. Has been making plays on varsity since an 8th grader. 3 tech with elite swim move and lightning-quick first step. Finished HS career with 40 sacks and 109 TFLs. Also a thrower on the track team. Notre Dame signee.

Donta Simpson, Chaminade Madonna (6'3" 300) - Prototypical DT frame from a feeder program. Fastest 3 cone drill in the country. Motor runs hot and cold but ragdolls offensive linemen when he's at his best. Good mover with some penetration ability. Also a thrower on the track team. Miami signee.

Omarian Abraham, American Heritage (6'1" 295) - Dillard transfer. Twitchy fire hydrant with good penetrating ability and delivers a big pop to the QB/RB. Eerily identical prospect to 2024 STA DT Justin Bodford, who signed with Mizzou. Also a thrower on the track team. NC State signee.

Wilnerson Telemaque, Miami Northwestern (6'6" 260) - Pace transfer. Long DT with gargantuan wingspan that he uses to swim past guards and centers with ease. Quick off the snap. Claims 4.8 40. Projects as a 3-4 DE at the next level. West Virginia signee.

Eric Thomas, Miami Northwestern (6'4.5" 325) - Originally from Lehigh Acres. First two years were at Lehigh, then spent 11th grade at East Lee HS before playing senior season with the state champs. Pure nose tackle prospect. Commands a double team at all times or he will eat your center alive. Brother is a defensive lineman at Marshall. Syracuse signee.

Trevor Sommers, St. Thomas Aquinas (6'3" 240) - Lines up at both end & tackle but projects at DT at the next level. Relentless motor and plays to the end of the whistle. Very mobile and uses hands well. 13 sacks and 16 TFLs as a junior. Room to fill out. Pitt signee.

Didn't realize how much NC State recruits down here from ur lists

I’ve seen enough of these in hindsight for me to known on this one in particular we definitely didn’t get the best player on this list. It’s wild on two fronts. We never seem to get the best player, and it’s usually somebody we barely or didn’t recruit at all. Except for the sure sure things, we usually end up kicking ourselves for guys who bust elsewhere.

Our scouting is bad bad.

I'm not crazy about Simpson but Newton is a stud bro. Wish we got Jarquez Carter and one of the Central DTs.

No bullsh*t, I was legit shocked that so many of these kids signed with good Defensive P4 schools.

South FL has produced some good pass rushers in recent classes, but DT has been a struggle for years.

Have to imagine that most of these kids will be in the Portal in a year or two.

Would take all of'em, especially after they've gone through a full season of S&C at their respective programs.
