Sorry to break the news guys!

Bunch of downers

Road win, national TV, conference win, near shut out, Duke pounding out 200 plus. I wore my U orange to the World Series the next night and got all sorts of positive comments.

Grab a beer and enjoy the win

LOL, that's the point. You are making a big deal over a win over a very bad VT team.

Positive comments like what? Its about time the Canes handled a bad team like they should??? Or its about time we didn't make a bad O look like world beaters???? Come on share the positive comments with us.

mediocre gets worse with lack of coaching and Duke - Perryman leaving next year, along with no DTs coming in again this year, along with on the road for FSU. Next year is going to be a uphill climb, but a least we have a real QB and will probably start entertaining having a real coach starting next year, so there is hope.

We're still a mediocre team! Every game we have left is going to be a hurdle for us....We're not that good. We beat a very bad VA Tech team and everybody thinks we arrived! Love the throw Kaaya made and classic Duke running the rock...but we're still a mediocre team.

Wow! None of us would have known that. Why did you burst our bubble? I should have gotten a hint when VT came out and rand the ball down our throats after the 2nd half kickoff. You mean we shouldn't assume every team will fumble 3 times in a row?

On the real positive side, we do in fact have a NC quality Miami Hurricane QB for the next coach to take to the ship. Beating turkeys up there was a wonderful thing even if they really suck. Beyond that, nothing has changed. Al and Mark will revert to default mode on defense if they feel the heat is down. Three fumbles and half-dozen high snaps by Duke doesn't mean Al's defense has changed. He relies total on other teams mistakes. They don't make a bunch, we get our *** kicked.

Oh god,
Look, UL loss. Bad. Bad Coaching in a winnable game to a good team. Nebraska. Bad coaching again in another winnable game against a surprisingly good team.
GT. Just unexcusably bad coaching.
Duke and vt. Yes, their mistakes combined with our talented players were key. Decent coaching. Not a slurper, on the *** train too.
AG will be here next year thx to vt win, unless we lose out in blowouts for rest of season...which Prolly won't happen. Unc, uva, Pitt all look beatable now. Fsu even. Duke, oline and kaaya are saving AG'S ***.
AG will be here. Dno? We'll see.

I remember when a seven win season was a good one for us. Of course, that was back in the '60's, when we only played ten games, and a bowl game was a rarity, since there were so few bowls.

I remember a lot of losing seasons for the U.

Point missed. Even if they had lost I would have worn the shirt with pride. It helps that it's "Orange Friday" for SF Giants games. Full disclosure: I didn't go to the U but my kid, and my $$$ does. My wife is always amazed at how many people "flash a U" or say "it's all about the U".

As far as Thursday night goes, all you football wizards who denigrate the good things that this team accomplishes with the myopic hope that it will get Al fired miss the point. The rest of the nation saw the U win big, on the road, against a conference opponent. I am good with that. He'll, East Carolina beat UCONN at home by only 10 proving anything can happen.

Plenty of reasons to critique the staff and lack of progress. Unfortunately, for many of you, Thursday night didn't offer a valid one.
