Sorry but this still chokes me up a bit

I wish Jimmy woulda stayed as well and was mad when he left but he made a ton of Cash at Dallas ...

You're just being silly now. Of course he's probably having a great time when he's on that yacht.

But over the last 2+ decades, he's been having far less fun on Sundays between early September and late January.

I'm not being "silly" at all, and that's a word a five year old uses to describe something. Any notion that Jerry Jones is somehow suffering because of the Cowboys while he's a multi-billionaire is absolutely idiotic.

Does he wish the team played better? Probably? Does it irk him to no end while he's living a life all of us could only dream of? No. He's fine.

No, it's a word adults use to describe children being outlandish and fanciful.
Like you.
In this thread.
Being a silly little sillyhead.

Schnellemberger, Jimmy, Butch, everyone says the same. If they hadn't left we woulve won a few more.
But I think the fact we have won with so many different coaches proves the miami brand and local talent is what makes miami great.

I'll bet Butch regrets his decision to leave UM as much, if not more, than we do.

I spoke to Butch several years ago at Bucs Poker Tournament. He told me unequivocally that his biggest professional regret was leaving UM. He also told me back then how badly he wanted to return to UM as the head coach and asked if I knew any decision-makers who could facilitate that. This had to be around 8-9 years ago.

Lol....Butch asked you if you knew any decision makers who could facilitate him coming back??....when his Super close friend was UM BOT Chairman Paul Di'mare during that time??....I'll be at Butch's house next week to share this gem with him...

What’s done, is done. Here we are, with Manny at the helm. Will he? Might he? he? Can he?

I can remember when Switzer won one with Jimmy's players, there were people saying that proved Jerry Jones could do it without him.

It didn't. It proved that Jerry Jones NEEDED Jimmy. Because once Jimmy's players left, there was no Cowboys.
Precisely. That's just like the idiot on this board that gave Coker credit for the 2001-02 teams instead of Butch.

The U was to worried what people and the press thought , Saban doesn’t give a HOOT

They hated us but loved to watch us play , we gave in SAD.
You aint never lied. Now, lots of schools' on field antics mirror ours from the JJ era and nobody bats an eye but we were every thug in the dam book.

Can you tell him RVA says hi?

I mean, I don’t know him but I feel like I do through you so...

People talk Saban and yes hes the greatest college coach ill give him that, but JJ was able to win a National Championship and 2 Super Bowls.

Saban saw that in the NFL he couldnt do what he could with college kids ( no salary capin college)... JJ was able to relate to the players in college and the pros

**** ill throw Pete Carroll into it as well. The guy failed in the NFL the 1st go around... went to college and built some **** dominant teams and went back to NFL and got himself a Super Bowl... he should have had 2 if he let Marshawn run the ball

Shula and Lombardi were both better coaches than Saban.

This most be Sabans throwaway account. Nice try. You quit the nfl. Back of the line my friend.

Saban bombed with the Dolphins, and it could be argued that a big amount of his success at Alabama is $ and cheating. He is a great coach, but dont agree on including him in top coaches of all time. Bellichick was a great coach, until he lost Tom Brady. Reminds me of Phil Jackson, who was a great coach when he had Jordan and Pippen, and then Shaq and Kobe. Without them, he sucked.

Also, what about Chuck Noll? Vince Lombardi? Tom Landry? Don Shula? George Halas? Bud Wilkinson? Tom Osborne?

I had the opportunity to meet Jimmy a number of years ago at a conference. Most everyone was bringing up Dallas and he was very cordial. When I caught a couple of minutes, I brought up Miami, his whole countenance changed, he was very engaged. I was walking away and he hollered out to me "hey, they'll be back!" It was obvious UM was his heart.
