Soooo anyone here worried about our OL?

Dude gets exposed at RT and yall think LT is his natural spot?

Man I hope you're right!
When did he get exposed at right tackle?
His abysmal game was vs va tech in 2016 but he has been very steady after that

were on the improve with both depth and talent... still a ways to go....
need to show that we can dominate on LOS against top notch Dlines
Clemson & FSU in ACC....

Having played OL in my days and my knowledge of the position, we indeed need to be concerned especially along the left side. If Donaldson drops the needed weight, I think we'll flourish from center on out to the right. I think we have recruited a large improvement going forward but this coming year will a bit of a stop-gap attempt. I pray that the experience and overall general improvement of talent along with effort will be enough of a quality recipe to result in a one loss conference record ending with a conference title win or at least much improved showing against Clemson. If all goes as I pray realistically I'll predict an overall 2 loss season with a great win in a top bowl game finishing in the top 5 of the rankings setting us up for one **** of a 2019 season.

Bro are you watching him? He gets beat an awful lot...I don't think he's consider a draftable player right now...

Pass protection is his strength. Run blocking he's mediocre, at best. So long as he's comfortable with dropping on the left, I don't see major concern (there are def other areas of concern on the OL).

Per Pro Football Focus:

St. Louis really shined in pass protection this year, allowing just four combined hits on the quarterback (two sacks, two QB hits) and allowed just one pressure in eight of the team’s 12 games this year.

Thanks bruh...he can make himself some serious money if he shines.

For much of the season he graded out as one of the best offensive tackles in pass protection in the conference

I don't believe in Pro football focus stats because they make these grades without knowing the assignment of said player.

even on the film he’s not getting beat often. St. Louis ain’t perfect in run blocking and can really improve there but he’s a really solid starter and more athletic than McDermott so He should be able to slide over there and play well

yeah but he's getting drove back **** near into the QB an awful lot though...

I got to see these examples bruh lol. I’ve been re watching the games recently from last season

lol..I wouldn't lie to you fam...I'm not saying he shouldn't give any ground but he gets pushed back at times too far to my liking...it could be me.

You know the job of a T in pass pro is mainly to drive the end beyond QB depth, right? That's what creates the "pocket" and gives the QB a clear area to step into a throw.

A tackle is supposed to give ground, in a controlled fashion.

Ain't about what I think. It's about what I know. He played LT in HS and didn't play RT until we put him there out of necessity for the 2016 season. This year he's being moved back to the position he's always played, his natural position, LT. Whether he's going to be any better remains to be seen, but from what I gather, everything is opposite when you flip sides, especially the foot work. In an interview during the spring he explained about how his kick step felt awkward because he had always been used to leading with the other foot.

St. Louis & Donaldson out of position.

Jones & Mahoney our starting guards.(edit)

Hoping two Frosh & a grad transfer can contribute in Scaife & Campbell & Boulware.

No bueno. Gots me major worried.

This team has great pieces everywhere but OL.....Yikes.

No joke dude. We are fooked on Oline.

Better question: does this affect Richts play calling? Do we run more I-Form? Do we run more 2 TE sets? (what TE's do we have? lol).

Our QB had better have some improv skills.
