Wingo moved up to #22 in the latest Rivals/On3 rankings. #4 WR. Ahead of Russell. Looks like we have our game breaker.

“So as not to violate copyright policy I asked Claude to summarize the scouts take.”

Scout’s Take:
Wingo is an absolute WEAPON in the yards-after-catch game—easily one of the most electrifying playmakers in this entire class. Hand him the ball and you’re watching a man on a mission to reach the end zone. Every. Single. Time.

When he’s running with the rock, he’s a freight train with sports car agility. His leg drive is absolutely relentless, bulldozing through would-be tacklers like they’re not even there. Then—BAM—he’ll hit you with a lightning-quick cut that leaves defenders grasping at air.

The combination is lethal.
But here’s where it gets scary: this dude has elite hands and plays above the rim like he owns the airspace. When the ball’s up for grabs, it’s not really up for grabs—it’s his. His basketball pedigree shows up in jaw-dropping fashion. The same explosiveness that has him throwing down monster dunks on the hardwood? That’s what makes him virtually unguardable on 50-50 balls. His elevation and body control in traffic are downright nasty.
And the most exciting part? He got FASTER this year. That burst and next-level acceleration he showed as a senior took his game to another stratosphere. We’re talking about a guy who was already special finding another gear.
Miami fans should be hyped. This kid is special.

Wingo will battle Trader and Upshaw for the CJ spot. Parris, Robinson, evans vs Moore. Maybe they move Upshaw to X. I really think we need another slot unless Carr stays and we decide to move him inside.

Wingo shouldn’t be the only kid moving up. A ton of our kids are under rated

Didn't the board call him overrated and slow when he committed or am I thinking of someone else?
Idk why, we’ve have been missing on WRs. His combination of physicality and burst is what we have been missing. To me he’s one of the best WR recruit in Mario’s tenure here. About time. I think physicality is really important, and we have been missing it. I think the 2025 started to adressed those concerns, but Wingo is on a different level

Wouldn’t the white WR Vance I think his name is play slot as well?

Solution
Whoever Brian Hartline is recruiting
Do the SAME!!!

Is this the reverse Miami bump, usually our guys somehow plummet in the rankings

That is only true for when Miami sucked and didn’t have kids getting picked 1st overall. With Bain, Cici, and more getting day 2-3 draft stock…add the performances from our freshman…the rating sites adjust.
