Seems like a power struggle going on between Golden and the administration. Golden wants out but can't find anyone to take him, Administration may want him out but would rather him get hired else where or him breach his contract to save money on a buyout. Administration is saying that it's all on Golden now from his assistant coaches to the players now indicating possibly going forth there will be no more excuses of a cloud and etc.

Seems like for Golden it's get out now by any means or get fired after next year when he will be solely responsible for everything if things continue to go South. Administration seems like they have him backed in a corner and he doesn't know which way to go and he has them backed in a corner because they are not trying to buy him out. Just my two cents.

This makes sense, though. The AD of the university can't do business for another 7 days. And when he gets he to his office, just let him have a few meetings and then everything will be taken care of. Blake James has just been biding his time, chomping at the bit to make a major overhaul. Only he needs 7 more days of personal time before he does anything.
