Something to chew on.

let's just be honest here. TVD and a couple guys on D lost this game. I don't care about blaming TVD because this was on him. Our offense looked different with Jake in the game. Ivey and Tyrique got burned. Flat our ran past and was to slow to catch up. You don't think Mario knows this and is going after speed in recruiting and will look for more into the portal. They slept walked into this game and that's on the players. I don't care what anyone says.

I just think it's crazy to blame coaches for every single loss.

The coaches are the ones making 8 million per year. The players are college students. Now I didn't watch any practices this week but I'd be willing to wager the UM players didn't have the eye of the tiger. The coaches get paid a lot of money to light a fire under the players and bench the ones that aren't performing.

I hope we can beat Savanah state w Mario on it

bro MTSU let us back in it today
Embarrassing. I didn’t want Mario when we were on the search but we ended up with him and so far he’s proving me right. No way we should be 2-2 at this point.

He better get to work and immediately. He can start by getting the youth movement going and actually putting some players on the field that make plays in a actual game instead of being practice warriors.

What good does it do if you do it correctly in practice and fail at it on Saturdays time after time. Just move on to the next player. Football is about results and I’ve seen enough of a gang of players continuing to get Major PT. Giving me manny vibes

Everybody saying fire everybody. Look at our records from the past 15 years... I know we lost to a MTSU. But it's new coaching but the same results. We need to recruit better and give Mario time to do what we paid him to do which is recruit and bring in better talent than what we have been. Oregon looks pretty solid to me besides the UGA game. He knows what he is looking for while recruiting. We were 7-5 last year with this roster. I posted in a couple threads we could hire Alabamas staff and if we lost to UNC it would he fire them too. When do we stop blaming coaches and XOs and realize we don't have the joes.. If we get these results in years 3-4 then absolutely have a basis to yell out fire this guy or that guy. Miami football will not be back until we land better kids. Looking at other top teams in the nation we look small IMO. Mario knows what to look for and he definitely cares about this program but you have to give the man time to flip this roster because the ones we have aren't getting it done.
We look like we will finish under 500, if that continues into next year it would be fireable. After 3-4 years if these are the results you would then jump on and feel Mario should be gone? So what would you be ok with? A perennial 9-3 team? We probably could have kept Shannon around with his ties to the community and his recruiting prowess and 9-3 would have been attainable on a consistent basis. Have our standards been dragged down this far? A loss to MTSU should have every fan, admin, student, professor, and donor extremely worried about the direction under this new staff.

The embarrassment of these FIU, Louisiana Tech and MTSU losses over the past few years are new levels of lows over the past 40 years. You think things are just suddenly going to change once Mario gets his players in here?

Absolutely. listen if WRs catch the balls they have dropped this year nobody would be yelling fire Gattis. If TVD hit the players that have been wide open the results aren't the same. 2 players on defense are a liability right now. CBs have been beat by speed alone. You don't think Mario knows we need to be faster outside at CB and WR? look at the kids we have committed right now, a bunch of SPEED. The team was uninspired after playing well against Texas and over looked a opponent and TVD was broken out there today. This is apart of the process unfortunately, growing pains are expected under a new staff with kids that don't know how to win

LOL yall are a trip. Coaching this and that. No blame on TVD playing like ***. You can't win with your QB throwing bricks. I guess that's coaches fault too right? Ivey and Rique getting torched. Coaching?
Are you kidding? Of course it's coaching. TVD played very well last year but Mario had to come in here and change to a completely different system that doesn't suit his QB. Yes that's coaching if you cannot get TVD something that he can succeed with. This staff set him up to fail.

Ivey and TS getting beat is also coaching. It's called scheming. Give them safety help. Again the staff set them up to fail. One of the basics of coaching is knowing what your players can and cannot do then based on that set them up to succeed by molding your system to fit the players. It's not about cramming a square peg into a round hole then complaining about execution and continue to attempt to cram square peg into round hole. At some point it's up to the coaches to realize that the peg is square and the hole is round and no amount of hard work is going to make the peg fit.

Losin this game is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable but it just shows me how far we have fallin and how long its gonna take for us to get even close to being back.

at this point, fixing all the major problems on this team is going to be like trying to make
chicken salad out of chicken**** !

Miami has **** poor coaching, no leaders on the field, and not even ONE fooking player that shows any dog in him ! NOT ONE !

this team looks like they are sleepwalking on the field .... buckle up, buttercups ... ain't gonna get any better anytime soon !

I agree with you but what we and the odds makers are assuming is that these highly touted Miami DBs even if they aren’t super fired up aren’t going to the blown by routinely for 70 yards bombs by MTSU and that your “star” QB is going to be able to make routine practice pitch and catch with his WRs.

If you have to scheme up your defense to protect your starting corners vs MTSU then your corners suck.

That's irrelevant because the reality is they do suck. Hence the need to protect them. That's just coaching and it's done every week all over the country.

Ahh Hope.It is the quintessential (fan) delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength and your greatest weakness.

I don't think anybody here ever played football or sports at all in that matter. Sometimes teams go into games thinking they are going to show up and win. Not realized the other team is capable and willing to whip your ***. and that's what happened today. Coaches can only do so much but if the kids are good they can overcome that but the players were uninspired today and that's on them. Not coaches. Coaches can't play the game for them.
It’s weird how bad coaches always seem to have unmotivated uninspired players
