I don't have any "sources" and refuse to pretend that I do.

However... Something is telling me we are getting Herman. What do you guys/gals think?

My gut feeling, I think Butch Davis is going to get hired, Cristobal leaves bama, Ken Dorsey is OC & Schiano as DC.

I think he's gaining steam. Strong is still under contract, Chud and Hue Jackson will both have NFL jobs, Tom Herman will pick an SEC school or USC over Miami. Fuente isn't a Miami guy. UGA will give Richt another year.

Yo. How glorious, if it comes to fruition. We get Butch to lead us to the promised land, with a competent DC in Schiano and a supposed ace recruiter in Cristobal? Dorsey at OC is a little scary, but that dude is cerebral as ****! Sign me up!

Also, agree with you on the Strong/Chud/Hue/Herman of it all. 'Cept I think Richt is done at UGA.

I wouldn't be mad about it if that were true. I don't care about his lack of experience, all signs point to success everywhere he has been. He is just too smart and relentless to fail, honestly and those are traits you don't find all the time as HC.

As for my gut feeling, I think it's going to be Butch. If Dimare wants him, I think we get him. Mario will be available next time around too, why not let Butch lay the foundation and then let Mario pursue other jobs to actually prove himself? Whether he stays at Bama or goes to UCF or whatever, he needs another stepping stone.

The Mario rumors are nothing more than people trying to be first, as Mario has been all the media talks about as the future HC. Just because he has Miami ties and Sfla HS coaches say he's the best fit. I really hope BJ sees that there are plenty of better candidates. I think JJ reference to saying we need the best candidate not just someone with Miami ties as HC, was intentionally trying to rule out Mario. I hope anyway.
 
Would love Herman which would be a great hire but I think it will be Butch which is fine as well
 
Now that Butch is being considered, it is hard to imagine it not being him. I am counting on it.

That would be one helluva coaching staff. However, I think Richt ultimately gets canned this year. Mistake by Georgia IMO. Would love to see either Richt or Butch coaching us next year. Win/Win situation.
 
Herman has said in the past that he thinks Houston can be have success like Miami had in the past at a smaller school in an elite recruiting base and that is something he is trying to replicate there.

I don't see him leaving a program that he thinks can be like Miami to go to Miami. He can be patient.

But then again, money talks.
 
My sources are telling me that they will hire Herman, then again my sources are me and the crazy woman next door.

anyone other than Butch is a HUGE mistake......this hire has to be the RIGHT guy....no midmajor whiz kids or experiments.

My gut is telling me the same thing. But if Schiano doesnt come, then Orgeron maybe. I think we will have former cane affiliations for key positions then bring in new blood for position coaches
