SOMETHING IS SEVERELY WRONG WITH THE PASSING GAME

NC had a HOBBLED secondary and they had us on lock down when it counted....

The dropped passes were on scramble and break-down plays...

30-39 passing don't mean SH*T if it's constantly a PRESSURE play or break-down play where the chances of completions DROP....

Which is EXACTLY WHAT WE SAW and THAT I AM SAYING TO YOU!

WE LOST THE GAME IN THE LAST 1:01 WHEN WE COULDN"T MOVE THE F*CKING BALL ANOTHER 10 Yards for a FIRST DOWN and forced a 50+ YRD KICK BY AN 18YO KID....

I think our oline was much better than last week... I think Williams was better than last week but not by much. He had more time this game to throw and only put 2 TDs on the board.

Enos offense has a lot of check downs in them but there are more plays downfield available if only our QB made more attempts to throw downfield.

We know he can throw the football but 2 runs changed the complexion of the game... The one he didn't take for the 2-pt conversion and the scramble for a big gain on the final drive.

It’s because he keep more people in to help.
 
Jarren was overall very good but his completion % is inflated by a bunch of dump offs and lack of deep shots. Was legit impressed by his accuracy overall though outside the deep ball. Has potential to be a good one. WR's and OLINE didnt do him many favors

Jarren’s improving efforts to me seem good enough to beat a mediocre (or worse) team, if we don’t make a host of mistakes and have crappy performances all over the place.

To be competitive against a top team, or overcome such shortfalls, he really needs to step up even more. Most of his passes are to primary (often short-range)receivers that he stares down so fast that they are either well-covered, or the yards-after-catch is low since the defenses key on them early and quickly. Too often it takes breaking a tackle or an athletic spin move to make any substantial gains, if at all, versus a 10-20 yard completion with 5-10 yards of daylight already there… often what the secondary or other alternate receivers are getting open for, but being missed by Jarren.

Sure, more experience and a better OL showing up would assist there, but I think it is fair to worry about Jarren’s ceiling… if he can’t camouflouge his intentions and also scan better, I don’t think our Offense is getting very far, and the OP’s criticism doesn’t seem all that misplaced.
