Something doesnt add up

Since I was in center field of the stadium right behind Rosier, I was confused as to what Rosier was seeing. He goes right where the OT and DE are going at it and that's where he jumps to pass the ball and gets intercepted. To me it looked like offense is all constricted in one small area and it's not spread around when routes are being runned.
That 2nd pick looked like he wanted 81 deep, had the one v one but 81 stumbled..then the dumb *** decides to panick and threw a late over route which is just unacceptable from a SR

Wisky oline sure looked good when we knew what was coming..no scheme works without a good oline play. No matter the scheme. It can be wishbone, option, pro or spread. That is facts and always will be in the game of football
So you think with good O line play the plays will work? I sure as **** don’t. Not this horse crap.

Yes. Especially the run game..Because In our run game we are attempting to run the same running plays that everybody runs. Bama, Clemson etc etc...even in the pass game bro. There were plays to be made all year. Even last year when the O line was playing at least decent we depended on explosive plays. Only way that happens is if there’s good blocking

How can a team with Miami's pretty good talent get blown out by a very average Wisconsin team? The interceptions almost appeared to happen by design.
I don't accept that Miami's talent level is necessarily "pretty good" - but we'll never know because what talent we do have is so poorly utilized. What I will say is that talent that is improperly managed is completely wasted.

When Earl Morrall was UM QB coach he taught Jim Kelly and other UM QBs, I presume, including Mark Richt, when your receivers covered "throw it to your girlfriend in the stands." (This is a quote from an article I read about Kelly 35 years ago.) Instead, Rosier throws right into double coverage. N'kosi throws into even more coverage. Rosier has almost the same kind of interception he had on a short throw last year's bowl game.

These kids don't seem to learn.

Are the kids dumb, or is the coaching ineffective or does it leave something to be desired?

Then Richt only takes advantage of half of his possible bowl game practices.

Schnellenberger wanted the '80 Peach Bowl, our first bowl game in well over a decade, so that we could get to that higher level enjoyed by the better teams. A major reason was, as he stated, you get extra practices, the equivalent of an extra spring practice. Howard called it the "perpetual motion machine."

Now, we have a situation where we need more coaching and practice for our QBs apparently, so CMR dials back the number of practices.

You saw the results. Terrible decisions and awareness by our two QBs and a talented fourth-string QB sitting on the bench not ready to play.

This is what I see and what I think is a soft and almost lackadaisical approach to winning.

Maybe that's what Georgia people saw, too.

Hope your father's doing well. One of my favorite Canes, ever. Helped make Mira a star. Hope he had a good Christmas and will have a good New Year. Same to you, too.

Perhaps, but I don't recall our QB throwing directly at defensive players seemingly on purpose. Almost like Rosier went rogue.
Got rattled and lost it. Just like Vinny on that last pass into heavy coverage on the last pass of the Fiesta Bowl which cost us one of the greatest seasons ever.

You probably would never have seen that with Steve Walsh, for example. Steve was always mentally in control. A cool customer. Probably came from all his work with Jodi Yambor, our sports psychologist of the time.

So sorry we lost her. She was a big loss. Glad they finally have a new one.

Any DC can look at Richt's lineups, tendencies, and his dozen plays - and look all-world as a defensive coordinator.
