Someone that should be considered for AD

Randall Thrill Hill. The guy is accomplished, is a former player and bleeds orange and green like a true fan. Blake is a fake politician who is a pu$$Y in all honesty. Thrill has the cojones to make the tough decisions and demand excellence. I put this out there on twitter and thrill retweeted me. I think with his family and personal ties to the program, this would be a great and kind of an out of the box hire. Unlike Blake, thrill actually ran for public office so he carries himself well and isn't just the guy who you frequently hear on radio going off passionately. I think its a different but great hire what do you guys think?

We all demand excellence, it doesn't mean we know how to run an athletic department with a budget of millions of dollars and all sorts of state and federal regulations. Football is the cash cow, but you can't just fire a coach when you want to. If we fired Richt now, the buyout will affect the budget of the athletic department which needs to pay for non revenue producing sports, in particular women's teams that are required for Title IX compliance. Everyone says that other schools will use our coaching staff to recruit negatively against us. Well after last year, if we hadn't given Richt an extension, the same would have happened. It's a balancing act. Everyone wants to talk about Alabama and their commitment, but few realize they owe 200+ million in debt over the next 28 years because of their athletic program.

I agree. That's actually an astute observation. IF we're going to compete I mean REALLY compete, we're going to need to clean house ALL the way. Hill is a near perfect candidate and has a pretty polished record comparably. It starts with the athletic department. Blake isn't a real "flawda" kinda guy. He doesn't get it. How many people seriously think Blake isn't on the next thing smoking at the first sight at the next opportunity? We should start a grassroots effort. We HAVE the talent in the area and Miami has the resources. We've been putting a band aide on the isssue for the better part of a decade.

Qualifications aside. Randy will not be considered because he's not Lilly White, etc.
 
Sure...lets put a guy with really no qualifications to run an athletic department. Next lets hire people from this board as HC, OC and DC cause they play madden back in 2000
