Someone temper my expectations

Dalvin Cook rushed for 267 yards today. I don't think he is mailing it in anymore.

He single handily beat us the last two years. You know he'll be ready for us.

He has never played against a Miami Hurricane defense and no idea what is coming(Al is gone). He will finish the game on the sideline asking when the 220 starts.

Sounds good in theory but I'm tired of all the talk. Show me!

I agree but talk is all we have for now. Taking off the shades, Cook will be a load.

.. And give me some legitimate reasons why we can't go undefeated this year.

FSU and ND(struggling with Duke)are dumpster fires

Vt on the road short week will be determining factor. May be our only loss

UNC defense is historically bad and gene chizik has reached a new low not to mention new qb.

Unc is averaging 400 ypg rushing given up in their last three losses

Uva worst team in America

Duke trash

Pitt gave up 500 passing to okie

FSU will be hard rivalry game but just gave up 300 yards and 5tds to usf after having Louisville drop 63 on them with ease (could have dropped more)

In no way shape or form am I saying we SHOULD win a championship this year...

but this schedule is the easiest one we've had in years and it's looking like we lucked out pretty nicely

After watching supposed tough opponents on our schedule I think this should be at least a consideration going forward

For the record I still say we drop one to Vt or someone along the way but this is our best shot in 12 or 13 years and we are the better team in every game until Acc champ game imo

as far as undefeated you gave us every bounce our way and the schedule had bounces go against them. I think depth will catch up to us. Plus Pitt looked better. Uva played better. Vt played better.

We have got to continue improving.

This is the Mark Richt era. Simply put, we should not temper our expectations.
I have been saying this for months now, a team like UNC was a couple bounces of the ball away from playing in a Playoff.
There is no reason why Miami can't be in contention for a playoff too. As long as the team improves from week to week and the coaching staff does its job.
Can we still lose 2-3 games? Sure, but every team in the nation can say that right about now.

We really haven't played a d1 team and our o-line looked like garbage against fau. I am concerned what happens when we play an actual team with a good d-line. I am so excited about this season be we haven't actually played a real team. I think we can and will easily win the coastal. We should beat ga tech and the fsu game will tell us just about all we need to know. Go Canes.

App state dline obliterated both of Tennessee lines who manhandled floridas dline and Kline in the second half. Brad didnt even get touched at app state by their dline

Such a pessimistic fan base. What a bunch of Pu55y's.... we haven't played anyone yet other than app state who put up a better fight than uf did against Tennessee in the same condition. However that still doesn't change the fact that Miami is more talented than anyone on their schedule other than fsu and you can debate that now since their players havent performed well at all. That's an overrated bunch other than cook and walker we know what they bring.... with Miami new philosophies on both sides of the ball Miami is capable of beating all of the next 5 times but we will see

It's not that we can't beat them. But we still have to prove ourselves against legit competition. If we man handle GT then we can really start to project ourselves. But for now, it is still hard to say. We have given up drives to teams that are not ver good. And on those drives we looked like an AG team. We have still shown a propensity to have dumb penalties at terrible times. So yes we will continue to improve, but we all know that every game is different and the transitive theory about games almost never actually plays out like that.

No more easy games on our schedule which is not to say we wont blow out a few teams along the way but every team we play from here forward has the potential to beat us, which couldnt be said for FAMU,FAU and App Store.

@GT- Away game against a team that just got blown out is always dangerous.

FSU- On paper-they still have more talent than us

UNC- Maybe the best QB in the ACC

@VT- All of sudden scoring bunches of points which I dont ever remember seeing from from VT and they always play decent D

@ND- They are down now-but have plenty of talent on the roster.

Pitt- Good solid team.

@ Virginia- Down year for them

@ NCST -do not look very strong this year up to now

Duke- well they just beat ND-and we havent exactly blown them away the last few years

Pitt plays everybody tough. Shaq, Pinckney, & Mccloud gotta bring their big boy pads for that game.

UNC- Maybe the best QB in the ACC

VT be the toughest game. Short week, on the road, after home games against FSU and UNC. The Hokies crushed BC and ECU the last two weeks. Those aren't great teams but are better than FAMU, FAU, and App Store. VT is always a strange game.

I agree with this.

VT also has a short week. Not sure why that doesn't compute for everyone.

True but we travel, they don't. As petty as that it is, it is an advantage for them. We shall see.

Most of what you wrote is not correct. FSU is not a dumpster fire. They are a top 15 team but they have an average D and a hit or miss passing game. Still our toughest game by far though. The second toughest game will be At VT but VT is not anywhere close to a top 20 team so in the end that should be a 1-2 TD win if we play well . GT is a tough team to defend but I think we do and come away with a 2-3 TD win. ND will be a dog fight as they are loaded with talent despite the 3 losses but I think we can score enough to win . Duke , Pitt and UNC are all good , not great teams who could beat us if we aren't prepared but that is not something I worry about with Richt. UVA is horrible so you got that right and NC st isn't very good either. In the end you aren't going to play well every week so if I had to guess I would say we drop one on the road at either VT , or ND and then we lose to Clemson or UL in the ACCTG . 12-2 is a great season none the less and a huge huge jump from what we have been since 2005.

So most of what I put Is incorrect even though you're only disagreement is that I labeled fsu a dumpster fire?.

Call fsu what you want but

Smoked by Houston.

Embarrassed by Ole miss in first half nearly lost that one

Beat Charleston southern

Smoked by Louisville

Gives up 35 and 300 rushing yards to usf

Those are their last five games

They may not be a dumpster fire but they are on the way down and that much is OBVIOUS

So say that. Leave out the short week part. VT plays road games on 10/8 and 10/15 and then us on 10/20. We play homes games on 10/8 and 10/15 and then travel to VT.

People hyping up the Hokies better not be the same people who say the Canes have not beaten anyone yet.

I have a feeling App State would clobber both BC and East Carolina.
