Someone temper my expectations

Why is everyone worried about the refs against notre Dame? Because of 30 years ago? Honest question

If anyone notre Dame has had more arrests than we have since then and pretty sure we will Have Acc refs there... Who can be up and down sure but wouldn't favor nd for any reason

I believe FSU has double the blue chip recruits as us and coaches that have championships under their belt. It's a winnable game but I'd stop well short of dumpster fire. When you have that much talent things can line up for you at any time and let's hope it's not against us.

Va Tech wins the coastal...... Placing bets now... They don't play anyone from the other side...

OP must be new to ACC reffing
I'm 25. Wasn't around during the nd days

Just don't see how they would want nd to win that game specifically and they wouldn't matter in any other game supposedly.

Protip:

Expect all refs to want ND to win every game

Then all refs are failing. ND loses another high scoring game, to Puke, of all teams.
1-3 with losses to garbage Texas

Michigan state that just got rocked

And Duke.

Notre Dame is a dumpster fire

I don't think we'll go undefeated, but I absolutely think we'll beat FSU, UNC & Pitt (all home games!)

The only game I'm iffy on is Notre Dame... They're completely down this year & they lost the majority of their talent to the draft last year, especially on Defense. But, I just don't trust the refs to give us a fair shake in that one the road.

Disagree. VT (which sucks because it's on my Birthday) is probably a loss.

VT be the toughest game. Short week, on the road, after home games against FSU and UNC. The Hokies crushed BC and ECU the last two weeks. Those aren't great teams but are better than FAMU, FAU, and App Store. VT is always a strange game.

We could.

But there is A LOT of football left to be played.

And we haven't really been tested in any way yet.

It should be a solid first year for Richt, though....

.. And give me some legitimate reasons why we can't go undefeated this year.

FSU and ND(struggling with Duke)are dumpster fires

Vt on the road short week will be determining factor. May be our only loss

UNC defense is historically bad and gene chizik has reached a new low not to mention new qb.

Unc is averaging 400 ypg rushing given up in their last three losses

Uva worst team in America

Duke trash

Pitt gave up 500 passing to okie

FSU will be hard rivalry game but just gave up 300 yards and 5tds to usf after having Louisville drop 63 on them with ease (could have dropped more)

In no way shape or form am I saying we SHOULD win a championship this year...

but this schedule is the easiest one we've had in years and it's looking like we lucked out pretty nicely

After watching supposed tough opponents on our schedule I think this should be at least a consideration going forward

For the record I still say we drop one to Vt or someone along the way but this is our best shot in 12 or 13 years and we are the better team in every game until Acc champ game imo

I agree with this.

It's about attitude to me. We have it on defense, and we're getting it on offense. We need execution and relentless pace from the offensive side of the ball, to go with the unwavering violence Many preaches on Defense, and I think we'll have a chance to beat everyone we play. After watching the App. St. highlights again I'm more confident the offense can get to where it needs to be for one reason: the blocking from the receivers. Incredible effort and coaching on that front.

The 12 personnel package with Njoku and Herndon will give teams problems all season if we continue to get better. I can't think of many teams, if any, in the country that can roll out a Coley, Richards, Walton, Herndon, and Njoku line-up with a QB that can play like Brad.

The O just needs to develop a mental toughness about them that I haven't quite seen thus far. They still have mental lapses that really good teams don't have, although they seemed to improve each week. Great time for the BYE to get healthy and get focused because GT at Bobby Dodd will be a good opportunity to show who we are.

We really haven't played a d1 team and our o-line looked like garbage against fau. I am concerned what happens when we play an actual team with a good d-line. I am so excited about this season be we haven't actually played a real team. I think we can and will easily win the coastal. We should beat ga tech and the fsu game will tell us just about all we need to know. Go Canes.
