Some thoughts on Miami-Stanford from 'the Farm'...

Imagine if we played a BAD quarterback.... more 3 and outs, multiple turnovers, less clock chewed. We would score so **** much.

Also if they had a worse punter Mali would have had some chances for returns.

Really impressive how much we blew them out given their offensive cleanness.

*Alot of soft coverages behind bllitz and movement up front in the front 7.

*- Not Bad n the tackling from t he group. Second play of the game OJ is hurt because he came up so fast trying to hit the te so hard low and threw his shoulder or whatever

-To my untrained eye Poyser looked to have the best game in the secondary.
- Omar Thornton was used all over and got better as the game went along.
- Having 4 safeties ...as im adding Dunnigan who also lookd good is nice to have.

Going to have to lean on some guys like Lil Mack, CJ Ewald and those in the next games as i believe this will eb a long szn and dont want to have guys getting hurt were really going to need against clemson an fsu back to back.

Wake Forest passing game will threaten us a bit too.

I’ll be the wet blanket here….. we are one dimensional at this point— if they don’t get their **** straight on the OL then we will fall on the.sword
Defensive line had little push— sorry im not a sunshine pumper
To say anything else — would be not believing my own eyes… and buying the hype. No sale here…..

Thank you. I think Dunnigan will be one of our best players on D come towards the end of season. At least Dmoney thinks so. I hope the coaching is still adequate there like last year despite the change in coaches. With Hetherman there running the D, I think we will be okay. We need to get OJ back at some point before ND.

Clemson we will need to be ready. Won't be easy on road nor will Wake Forest. One game at a time. We miss Bain and Mesidor, but our line play needs to improve as year goes on both lines.

I agree the QB was good but their offense wasn’t clean. Multiple drops and penalties left a lot of yards on the field.

Just keeping it 100.

Time to stop with this mopey bull****. It was GAME ONE, and we have some new guys who have to replace NFL DRAFT PICKS who didn't like to get subbed out last year, hence the lack of reps last year.

As someone who lived this in the 1980s, every year or two it would be "oh, lawdy lawdy, we just lost Michael Irvin and Brian Blades and Brett Perriman", and then we'd just them with Dale Dawkins and Randall Hill and Daryl Spencer.

How about we skip this "one-dimensional" bull**** for now. If it's still this way in October, everyone is free to mope.

We are fortunate this year that we don't have ND, UF, USF (ranked) and FSU within the first month or so.

Let the freshmen play. I don't care if we are not a finished product this month.

Being able to look ahead a month or two to see where this team can go is NOT being a "sunshine pumper".

Look, it's nothing personal, but we just have a bunch of pussified fans whose FIRST REACTION is to mope about every aspect of our game that falls short of perfection. I had some Miami fans sitting behind me who started pontificating on how we got away with a pass interference penalty. Meanwhile, the rules expert on the broadcast said it was a good non-call. Even when things go our way, some of our fans find a way to confess to a crime.

It's Game One. Breathe. Relax. Touch grass. Do whatever you need to do to not mope like a baby over a 45-6 win in which we played a ton of backups and intentionally kept things relatively vanilla.

This is what happens with mopers and mopery in general. You guys use the same inaccurate terminology. Anyone who isn't as mopey as you is a "sunshine pumper". We are "turning a blind eye". We are rejecting viewpoints that "don't align with our view".

And all of that is bull****.

You don't think I saw the mistakes? Of course I did. I just don't attribute the causes and effects and long-term impacts the same way that you do. I've been watching over 40 years of Miami football and this **** comes with the territory. New starters make some mistakes. Teamwork takes time. Chemistry has to be built up and channeled.

With the schedule we have, there is no need to draw a bunch of conclusions and go into a fetal position over Game One. Which we won 45-6.

Ok- I’ve been watching over 40 yrs myself- you have your take I have mine//I’m not condemning the program I’m just calling what I saw- good for you b/c you attended the game….. how’s that relevant? There are flaws that need to be addressed— maybe we progress or maybe we are what we are

I was looking at this game thinking to myself when is the last time we have had 4 safeties this athletic? Bryce, JJ, Omar, and Poysner cover alot of ground.

Ahmmon Richards was right, Stanford for whatever limitations they have athletically, is a sound and well-coached unit

That's why I believe that 'depth' is always just a temporary thing. What might be a position with good 'depth' one week, might be VERY think the next. That's why you always try and recruit at a high level and try and find snaps for young players. To me, that's why blowouts matter...
