Some thoughts on Miami-Stanford from 'the Farm'...

Spot on. Yes it was Stanford but like you’re saying, dude did it against Notre Dame in his first ever game

Barkate is gonna be the difference (well that and Moore/Upshaw). Barkate is a legit #1 on his own. If you want to overcommit to Mali, Barkate is going to torch you. Was watching some of his stuff against Clemson last year and he did whatever he wanted to them and it opened up one of their other receivers getting a couple TDs

No disrespect to CJ and Marion but how accurate Mensah is, I just don’t know if anyone can slow this pass game down

Yes I guess is the change in secondary coach from last year affecting how these guys are going to play? We'll see how things go from here. We should be very good based on talent alone in secondary. I was a little surprised we were playing more zone against Stanford.

How is DL even a question? People were worried about us stopping the run this year, but we only gave up 78 yards rushing. Wilson is going to come out next game with something to prove. We would have had multiple sacks, but Stanford literally held us every single possession.

If this is the “worst” game we will see the dbs play, we are in for generational season. They only gave up 5.3 yards per pass

It’s still a question for me, we can disagree, it’s ok brother. I didn’t care for the gaping running lanes on the first three possessions, of which one run went for 36 yards, but hey, everything’s rainbow and butterfly’s all day.

ND will be the true test against QB CJ Carr. I think we will be okay given the talent and depth we have in the secondary.

Hopefully we get better pass rush moving forward against tougher opponents. We miss Bain and Mesidor. Also our LB play needs to be better all way around. I think it will improve as year goes on.

Our fan base really cracks me up. We are really nit picking one play. Think about this- half their rushing yards came from one blown up play. They tightened up after that

There isn’t a single d-line room in the country I’d trade with. At the end of the day, it’s still the best unit in the country. If this is what we’re calling their “bad game”, then we are in for a generational season

I’m still in the belief the pash rushing unit is going to probably be statistically than last year. Wilson has been a dawg all camp, and he just didn’t have his day. It happens. Good thing for us is Wilson is going to be out on a mission next game

K9, always good to read your takes on our program.

I think we're capable of having two 1k+ yard receivers.

Poyser looked more confident and athletic out there Fri than last season. Another great eval and development story by us.

Did I miss him but was Jacobs active? Don't remember hearing his name.

IIRC, Dre Jacobs did have a deep ball thrown his way and it was under thrown by fickel

I was able to wave to you. I didn’t get any bro hugs though like I did from TOC and D$. Next time. Need to coordinate to sit near wherever you guys are all sitting. I was in Section 132 but after halftime I stood and watched the rest of the game from the top of the stairs area.
