Some really good match ups on week 1

App State @ Tennessee (we will get a nice preview of what the mighty App State has)

#3 OU @ #12 houston

LSU - Wisconsin

UCLA @ TAMU

UNC @ UGA

Bama - USC (Neutral site game)

Clemson @ Auburn

BC - Ga Tech (in Dublin, Ireland - Crazy!)

Notre Dame @ Texas

FSU - Ole Miss (in Orlando)

I simply cannot ****ing wait until college football starts.

Thoughts on any of these games???

I hope Houston smokes OU.

I hope Wisconsin mauls LSU

I will definitely pull for UNC to beat UGA

I hate USC, but I loathe Bama so I'll be rooting for SC that game

I hope Clemson beat the living **** out of Auburn

Really want to see if BC and G-Tech can somehow find a way to both lose (wishful thinking)

I don't think it will happen, but I'm hoping Texas beats ND

And the only SEC team I'll be rooting for in Week 1 is Ole Miss.

"Tenn a kee" beats App St handily
Oklahoma wins in a close game
LSU wins by 2TD's
TAMU beats UCLA in a shootout
I hope UGA beats UNC
Bama wins easily
Clemson drops 40+ on Auburn
BC gets the W
Texas for the upset
I hope Ole Miss beats FSU

Tennessee is overrated. The idea of them losing to App State isn't impossible.
App st is a FCS/Sun Belt team, even an overrated Tennessee has far superior athletes than them at every single position on the field.
If Wake Forest played in the Sun Belt they'd look like a "good" team too.

Say that to Michigan fans....
Michigan beat App st 52-14 in 2014...
Y'all kill me with this App St fear everybody has suddenly acquired this summer...
Shook of a ****in' Sun Belt team, like we're not a 5 time National champion with a new head Coach that won 145 games & 51 losses in the toughest conference in football... Smfh, y'all need to stop that sh*t.

Not saying I'm scared we gona lose to em, one poster said Tennessee got more superior talent and just pointing out they beat Michigan one year

It'd be nice to give FSU their first loss, but also would be cool if they came down on a losing streak and we kept that going lol and ruin their confidence

I want FSU to win not only so we can give them their first L but also because we need the ACC teams to beat out of conference teams so that we arent viewed as the 5th best conference out of the power 5. same with UNC hope they win so the hype for our game raises and then we **** on them. also if we win in the out of conference battle among the power 5 conferences , then if we have a scenario where its 12-0 vs 12-0 in the ACCCG, both teams would most likely make the playoffs.. unless the team with the weaker SOS gets demolished

If the ACC wins these marquee matchups that only helps the conference., I dunno why you would cheer against ACC teams. Besides FSU even tho I want them undefeated when we play them

I always cheer for ACC teams to win unless its FSU, but even then we need them to look good and beat these "amazing" SEC teams so when we kick their *** we look better than everyone else.

I really hate having to quietly root for Notre Dame and FSU until we play them.

They beat Michigan 9 YEARS AGO...

Definitely want UNC to beat Smartie so the Georgia fan can start complaining about their all might coach who held Sabans pocket

Ive caught mad **** for my take on this issue but....

There is no reason to root against FSU in this game. An FSU win is better for UM than an FSU loss to what will be a 4th or 5th place SEC team.

I understand the point of how it makes the rest of the conference look better when ACC teams win vs OOC opponents.
But, I don't care... I'll never root for FSU or UNC & when they lose I'm ecstatic about it.
Idgaf if they're undefeated or not when we play them, as long as we beat'em and handle our business it doesn't matter.

Again, I understand why you guys hold the opposite position, but I'm sorry, I can't force myself to ever watch an ACC team, especially a rival & sit there hoping they win, nope can't do it...

This. I want to see Kirby Smart flop. I also want UNC's ranking high for when we beat them.

Smart might not be a good coach in reality. But I think Kirby Smart is going to look good coaching in a division against Jim McElwain, Butch Jones, Will Muschamp, Derek Mason and Mark Stoops. That's a big list of corches.

The only coach, other than Smart, who might not be a corch in that division is Odom at Mizzou. And Odom might be a corch. We just don't know since he hasn't coached a game yet.

Agree. Always go for ACC, especially when they play SEC. Tired of hearing about the "mighty sec". ACC all day, unless its FSU, I dont care who they play I want them to lose every game.

College football is judged on a subjective basis, similar to gymnastics and drum corp. The "judges" (ie; media and poll voters) use a lot of derivatives to come up with their rankings. A game like FSU -v- Ole Miss will have a direct effect on UM's entire season (assuming we dont run the table).

Rooting against UNC and FSU in week one is the same as rooting for UM to be lowered in the polls, to be less discussed in the CFB media. This affects everything from recruiting to what bowl we end up in, etc... It aint a vacuum.
