The negatives are obvious and glaring. Coming into this season I had a feeling TVD would struggle and the lack of talent was going to be rough so last night was painful, but not shocking. I guess it’s my knee jerk reaction at this point to try to find positives to talk about…coping mechanisms if you will. So bear with me

A couple of guys that take beatings here played their best games last night

DJ Ivey was everywhere. He was physical. He played with confidence. It would be a HUGE boost to have him play like that in ACC comp. Kudos to the kid. I’m sure he’s read and heard it all about how bad he is and he played his best game by far last night (haven’t rewatched)

Jordan Miller. Whew. That DL was eating last night and 91 had a couple of plays that he was flat out dominant

LT. That was the guy we’ve all been waiting for

Jalen Rivers. With all the crazy talent Mario is possibly bringing in on the OL, Rivers looks like a potential first rounder

Parrish. Bless that kid. Not sure I’ve seen many backs that small run that big in my time as a fan here

All said and done I believed coming into this season the UNC game would probably let us know the most about the kind of team we have. Unfortunately A&M was not nearly as good as I thought they were going to be and the game highlighted a lot of our issues

Winning the coastal is our barometer and ultimately this game is meaningless for that

I was hoping we could have some easy victories through our conference play but I don’t see that happening

I could be wrong, I think it was 81 not 91. It was JHH

I agree...we outplayed that aTm team yesterday....they couldn't stop us but we sure stopped ourselves in the red zone.
We had 27 first downs...400 yards offense..in the red zone like 5 times....had a huge margin in time of possession...owned the Oline and D line...held them to just over 250 yards...and more stuff. In their house with 107k in a night game...
Yes we can be even better but we are definitely in a better position as a team than before....no doubt

LT needs more than 17 snaps imo
The first two games of the season people were concerned with the lack of pressure up front but I think those concerns were put to bed

I don’t know if A&M is legit on the OL or not but stands to reason they’ve got talent

We were aggressive without being undisciplined, at least from what I saw

Good stuff

Agreed @JHallCanes - Ivey was noticeably better last night. He played like he was playing on greentree finally. Lines looked really good. Special Teams lost us this one between the muffed punt and 2 missed FGs - we win this game if not for those 3 plays. @BS85 - is that all Taylor got is 17 snaps? If that’s the case that’s poor personnel decisions which I also called out last week when we ran Parrish on the goal line set instead of the bigger Franklin. LT56 needs to be getting a bulk load of snaps because he is a difference maker when he’s out there.

Almost everything we've *****ed about for years is improved. DL and OL in particular. Outstanding games. Linebackers look improved just most are limited physically.

Now other areas are ****ting the bed.

Yeah not sure the snap counts on the DL but hard to argue with the results. LT keeps playing like that I expect he will play more but the rotations seem to be working

Not concerned with Steele which feels good after the last couple of years playing abysmal defense

Steele is good so far. Really like his D.

I’m willing to give the coaching staff a pass on the WRs this year because we all knew outside of X they were a pile of crap

The Oline and RB room from last year to now is like night and day different. Unbelievable how much they’ve improved that unit

That’s a painfully sobering comment to read

Last year it was “we are too finesse”

The same people clamoring for Lashlee now were ready to burn it to the ground if we got manhandled for a yard again up front

We definitely look tougher and more physical. No one is *****ing about Feld yet so that’s good. We looked like the stronger more conditioned team

And now we can’t complete a pass when we need it 🤦🏼‍♂️
